Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo to Bahariya Oasis
Early morning pickup gets you out of Cairo, and from there you're heading into Bahariya Oasis where things shift into high gear. Once you switch to a 4x4 jeep, you'll explore the Black Desert first, then check out El Hez Village and its Cold Spring to cool off. Crystal Mountain comes next, followed by the Agabat area. Later in the day, you move through the Old White Desert with those unusual mushroom and tent-shaped rock formations, and then into the New White Desert where the limestone shapes really stand out. By evening you're settling in at camp with dinner included, spending the night under the stars (10,000 ft elevation, temps drop to 50°F/10°C at night).

Bahariya Oasis to Cairo
You wake up to catch the sunrise from camp, then have breakfast before heading back to the oasis in your jeep. After that, an air-conditioned vehicle picks you up for the drive back to Cairo, wrapping up your desert trip.
