The route takes you to Santa Maria degli Angeli pilgrimage church, and from there you'll head up to medieval Assisi perched on Mount Subasio. It's a good climb but worth it for the views. You'll cycle back to your hotel by evening, so plan for a fairly full day on the bike.

Later, you'll take the train back to San Martino in Campo, so it's a nice mix of cycling and exploring without overdoing the pedaling.

Medieval Bettona sits on a hilltop, then you'll cycle to ancient Bevagna with all its historic character, and finish at walled medieval town Montefalco with its valley views. By evening you're heading back to the hotel by bus transfer, so you can relax after a packed day of medieval towns and countryside cycling.

Everything was so well organised we could just relax and ride the bikes. We hired bikes and they were in great condition and gave us no problems- I would definitely recommend this holiday. The accomodation was excellent too.

It was well organised - luggage delivery was great, but the ride was too long in the same countryside which became monotonous and the trail took you through a lot of unattractive industrial and urban areas.
