Tangier
You'll land at Tangier airport or port where your driver meets you for a quick overview of what's ahead. After checking into your hotel and getting settled, you'll have dinner and rest up for the days to come.

Chefchaouen
Start with breakfast at your Riad, then wander through Tangier's bustling medina and surrounding neighborhoods. Head 12km out to a headland where the Atlantic and Mediterranean converge, stopping at Hercules Cave and the Roman ruins of Cotta. You'll pass Cape Sapartel before driving through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the blue-washed city where you'll have dinner and spend the night.

Meknes - Volubilis - Fez
Drive from Chefchaouen to Meknes and start with a guided tour at the impressive 18th-century Bab Mansour gate. From there you'll see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Royal Palace entrance, and Heri es Souani. After lunch, continue through rolling hills to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with bathhouses, mosaics, and marble pillars. End your evening in Fez.

Fez
Spend the day exploring Fes, Morocco's first imperial city founded in the 9th century and home to the world's oldest university. You'll visit the Royal Palace entrance, then walk through the medieval Medina with its Islamic universities, fountains, mausoleums, and the Karaouine Mosque University. Have lunch in the Medina, then continue through narrow alleys where merchants sell dates, spices, copper urns, and musical instruments.

Fez to Marrakech
After breakfast, head south toward Marrakech by climbing into the Middle Atlas hills through giant cedar forests and volcanic mountains. You'll pass strings of lakes and plains of oranges, olives, and sugar cane, with chances to spot small tented nomad communities and possibly endangered Barbary apes. The road descends into Marrakech where you'll check in at your hotel for dinner.

Marrakech

After lunch, head to Jemaa el Fna Square with its food stalls, snake charmers, and local musicians. Spend time walking through the souks where you'll see hundreds of handicrafts and local wares.

After lunch, continue along the coast to Rabat, the political capital, where you'll walk around the Royal Palace and see the Mohammed V Mausoleum. Stop at Hassan Tower, Rabat's landmark and one of the oldest mosques, before checking in for dinner.
