Itinerary
- Day 1
Kumasi
You'll drive to Kumasi, Ghana's second largest city and the former seat of the powerful Ashanti Kingdom. Once there, head to the Ashanti Cultural Centre to learn about the region's history and significance. After that, check out the kente village where you can see traditional weaving and textile production. You'll spend the night in Kumasi.

Kumasi
After breakfast, walk through the National Cultural Center and visit the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, which houses a replica of the legendary Golden Stool along with studios where artisans work with brass, pottery, and batik. Later in the day, head to Manhyia Palace Museum to see artifacts and learn about Ashanti kingdom history dating back to 1700. You'll stay another night in Kumasi.

Kumasi to Cape Coast
You'll drive to Cape Coast, which takes about 4 hours. Along the way, you'll stop at Asin Manso Slave Market, a significant historical site where enslaved Africans were held before transport to the slave castles. Arrive in Cape Coast and settle in for the night.

Cape Coast to Accra
Start the morning relaxing at the beach in Cape Coast. Then tour Elmina Castle, the first European structure built in West Africa by the Portuguese in the 15th century, which later became a slave castle. From there, head to Kakum National Park where you can walk on suspended bridges high above the forest canopy and learn about the medicinal and spiritual uses of the trees. After, you'll drive back to Accra for drop-off at your selected location.
