Bhopal
You'll arrive at Bhopal airport and get transferred to your hotel overlooking Upper Lake. The evening is yours to explore at whatever pace works for you. Van Vihar National Park is worth checking out if you're interested in wildlife, and the Taj-ul-Masjid mosque is genuinely impressive with its scale and architecture. Moti Masjid offers something quieter if you want a more peaceful spot to spend time.

Bhopal to Sanchi to Udayagiri
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out for a full day of sightseeing. Sanchi is the main stop here, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient stupas, monasteries, and temples dating back centuries. From there you'll continue to Udayagiri Caves to see early Hindu temples built during the Gupta Empire period. The drive back to Bhopal gives you time to process everything you've seen during the day.

Bhopal to Bhimbetka to Bhojpur
Following breakfast, you'll visit Bhimbetka, an archaeological site with rock shelters and Paleolithic rock paintings from the Stone Age. Later in the day, you'll travel to Bhojpur to see the Shiva temple there, which features one of India's largest lingas carved from a single rock. It's an unusual and noteworthy piece of temple architecture.
