  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Lhasa

You'll arrive in Lhasa by flight or train, and your local Tibetan guide will meet you for the transfer to your hotel (about an hour from the airport, 20 minutes from the station). An excellent tour! I enjoyed every minute of it and visited all the places I had hoped to see. Our tour guide, Lobsang, was outstanding—highly knowledgeable about Tibetan history and customs, and always willing to go above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The driver and administrative staff were also excellent. Thank you all for a truly wonderful experience!

Amazing tour! Tibet is definitely one of the most worthwhile destinations—if not the most. There’s tons of cool stuff to see, an awesome exotic culture, and super tasty food—yak jerky was my favorite, so chewy and flavorful! Once you know about this place, you can’t sleep on it. Our guide Mengbo was kind and knowledgeable, the driver drove steadily and smoothly, and the customer service was great, too. Everyone was always ready to help out. No way I’d have had such an epic time without them. So glad I went—totally worth it! 10/10, would definitely recommend.

I have returned home from my trip to Tibet, which was wonderfully arranged by you and your team. I want to express our heartfelt thanks for all the arrangements, the detailed itinerary, and the assistance with permits and flights. Our guide, Doji, was very professional and enthusiastic. He had a deep understanding of Tibet's history, culture, and traditions, which gave us a deeper appreciation for each site we visited. He patiently answered our questions, was attentive to our moods, and ensured that we safely and comfortably enjoyed each day of our journey. The hotels in Lhasa were excellent, with ethnic characteristics and oxygen machines, and the facilities were complete. The accommodations at Everest Base Camp were a bit basic, but understandable given the high altitude. The service throughout the entire trip was very thoughtful. From arranging the itinerary to airport transfers, tour explanations, every detail was carefully considered. Our needs were fully met, allowing us to enjoy the journey wholeheartedly without worrying about other things. Overall, the 8-day trip to Tibet, including Lhasa and Everest Base Camp, was an unforgettable experience. I was deeply attracted by the magical land and the devout Buddhist culture. If I have the opportunity, I would love to visit other places in Lhasa, such as Nyingchi and Mount Kailash. Once again. Thank you for your thoughtful service. Best wishes, Karina

We have a great time in Tibet joining the EBC tour with GTT. The arrangement route is nice, with 3 days at Lhasa for acclimatization. Both the tour guide Lobsang and driver Paksang were excellent in service, helping the visitor with smile, good advice, good information sharing, always provide helping hand when needed. I can see that they carry out their duty with passion from the heart. The itinerary timing was good, with an exception that 2 of our team member have some problem with the breathing when arrived at EBC. After couple of hour, we decided to leave EBC on the same day we reach to ensure the 2 members safety. The guide provides few options for decision making. Overall, it is an excellent tour and I would recommend to my friends GTT if they want to come to visit Tibet.

I can hardly think of the right words to thank you for a fantastic vacation in Tibet. I’m sorting out my photos, souvenirs. I come across a tiny piece of paper or a receipt, I remember a wonderful place we went, some warm & friendly person we met or something fascinating that we saw in Tibet. Our guide Dargye is a good guide, he speaks English very well, and he has full knowledge of Buddhism and local culture. We learned a lot from him. Again, thank you for everything. I recommended Great Tibet Tour to my friends.

I was so lucky that I booked the 8 Days Lhasa Gyantse Shigatse Mt. Everest Group Tour with Great Tibet Tour which is the Tibet tour operator based in Lhasa. Some of the travelers in our group booked the tour with the travel agent. It means I use less money but enjoy the same service as them. My tour guide is Dajie who had a great experience. His knowledge of Tibet history and passion was great. I was very satisfied with how he guided this tour. He took care of all the members of our group. Traveling on such a plateau with an average altitude of 4000 meters is not easy. But the reward is to see the peak of the Mt.Everest from our Rongbuk guesthouse. I highly recommend Dajie and Great Tibet Tour.

We have just returned and would like to thank you for the wonderful tour we had. We thoroughly enjoyed it and must compliment you on your tour guide and driver. They went out of their way to help us. In August, my wife and I took a 6 day customized tour from Lhasa to Shigatse, organised by Great Tibet Tour. Catherine, our tour consultant, provided a very prompt response to all our initial queries and went to great pains to ensure that the tour arrangements and hotels were exactly what we wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The hotel in Lhasa was very comfortable with great service. We enjoyed the company and learnt a lot about Tibet’s past and present, which was our goal. In short, we can recommend to anyone who might be considering using their services.

I am back home now. Thank you for helping me achieve my dream. Tibet is an amazing place. I left my heart in Tibet. I will definitely travel to Tibet again to find my heart in the future. I am very pleased with the trip. On the way to Shigatse, we saw the real Yark and Tent beside the road. We go to visit the local people here to learn their real life. It really impressed me. Please convey my thank to my guide and driver. They did an excellent job.
