Augsburg
You'll arrive at your hotel in Augsburg, a historic city with roots going back to 15 B.C. After getting settled in, you'll meet your local representative who helps you set up your bike and goes over the route notes with you.

Augsburg to Lake Worthsee
Start cycling through traditional Bavarian villages surrounded by lush meadows on your way to Lake Ammersee. You can relax by the water or take an optional paddle steamer boat trip before heading on to Lake Worthsee for the night.

Lake Worthsee to Murnau
Pedal along Lakes Worthsee and Pilsensee toward Andechs Abbey, which has a beautiful Baroque church and brewery. Along the route you'll find swimming opportunities at Lakes Ammersee, Staffelsee, and Riegsee before arriving in Murnau, an artistic town worth exploring.

Murnau to Füssen
Cycle from village to village through the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. You'll visit the UNESCO-listed Pilgrimage Church of Wies, a well-preserved oval church and a great example of Bavarian Rococo architecture, then continue to Füssen.

Füssen to Schongau
In the morning, you'll see King Ludwig's fairytale castles at Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. After that, cycle along the scenic Via Claudia Augusta to Schongau, a nice town surrounded by medieval fortified walls.

- Day 6
Schongau to Landsberg
Follow the River Lech on your bike toward Landsberg, stopping at several sites along the way. You'll see St Michael's Basilica in Altenstadt, the Abodiacum Roman Museum in Epfach, and the pilgrim church in Vilgertshofen.

Landsberg to Augsburg
Check out the medieval city centre of Landsberg am Lech with its historic city hall and Gothic Bavarian Gate. Your route goes via Kaufering am Lech and Königsbrunn, then you'll ride 11km on the best-preserved section of the Via Claudia before finishing in Augsburg, home to a famous social housing complex from 1516.
