Itinerary
- Day 1
Puerto Maldonado
You'll land at Puerto Maldonado International Airport where lodge staff greets you for the transfer to the river port. From there, a 45-minute boat ride takes you along the Madre de Dios River through the jungle to Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. After checking in and grabbing lunch, you can walk the lodge's trail system to learn about the local ecosystem. Later in the afternoon, you'll cruise the river at sunset looking for nocturnal wildlife like alligators, capybaras and owls. Dinner comes with a presentation about local flora and fauna.

- Day 2
Puerto Maldonado
This morning starts with an early breakfast before heading to Lake Sandoval in Tambopata National Reserve. You'll paddle across this oxbow-shaped lake in a wooden canoe to spot giant river otters, red howler monkeys, macaws, anacondas and turtles. After paddling back, lunch happens at the lodge. In the afternoon, visit the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway Interpretation Center and walk across seven suspension bridges that hang 45 meters high through the jungle canopy for about an hour and a half, watching for toucans, woodpeckers, sloths and monkeys. The day finishes with dinner and an Amazon presentation.

Puerto Maldonado to Departure
You'll have breakfast at the lodge, then board a 45-minute boat ride back across the Madre de Dios River to Puerto Maldonado to catch your flight to your next destination.
