Itinerary
- Day 1
Darwin to Kakadu National Park
Head down the Arnhem Highway into Kakadu National Park this morning. You'll start at the Warradjan Cultural Centre to learn about Aboriginal traditions and get some context for what you're about to see. After that, you're heading out on a cruise through Yellow Water Billabong where saltwater crocodiles and lots of birdlife hang out, so keep your camera ready. Later in the day, your guide takes you to the rock art galleries at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) where you'll walk through some of the most significant Aboriginal art sites in the park.

- Day 2
Mikinj Valley, Arnhem Land
Get an early start for a 4WD tour into Arnhem Land and Mikinj Valley. You'll drive through sandstone outcrops, escarpments, forests and floodplains that really showcase the landscape here. An Aboriginal guide shares knowledge about traditional land ownership, bush skills and bush tucker, which gives you real insight into how people have lived here. You'll also see Aboriginal rock art throughout the day, and the guide explains the cultural significance behind what you're looking at.
