  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu

    Your tour representative will meet you at Kathmandu International Airport and help with check-in at your hotel. After settling in, the day is open for you to wander around this historic and vibrant city at your own pace.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

    Following breakfast, you'll spend the full day seeing Kathmandu's main sights. Start at Durbar Square to see the old temples and traditional Newari architecture, then head up to Swoyambhunath Stupa, an ancient Buddhist site perched high on a hill. The afternoon takes you to Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati River, and you'll finish at Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas around.

  3. Day 3

    Kathmandu to Phakding

    An early morning flight gets you to Lukla Airport, where your trek begins. From there you'll walk down to Phakding, passing through Sherpa villages and seeing views of Kumbila and Kusum Kanguru peaks. You'll also come across several monasteries scattered along the route.

  4. Day 4

    Phakding to Namche Bazaar

    Today's trek takes you toward Namche Bazaar through Sherpa settlements and into Sagarmatha National Park. You'll cross a high suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi River gorge and then climb steeply up to Namche Bazaar. On clear days, Mt. Everest becomes visible, peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge.

  5. Day 5

    Namche Bazaar

    You're staying put in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization to the altitude. A gentle walk around the valley helps your body adjust to the thin air. The museum here covers traditional Sherpa culture, and the valley views of Everest and surrounding peaks are worth seeing on a clear day.

  6. Day 6

    Namche Bazaar to Khumjung

    This acclimatization walk heads up to Everest View Hotel at 3,800m/12,467ft, which offers views of Everest when the weather cooperates. After that, you'll walk over the hill to Khumjung, a traditional village featuring Mani stones, stupas, and a monastery said to hold a yeti scalp.

  7. Day 7

    Khumjung to Tengboche

    Descending to the Dudh Koshi River, you'll cross a suspension bridge through forests of pine, juniper, and birch. You'll pass old Mani walls along the way before trekking to Tengboche, a major religious center and popular stop in the Khumbu. The monastery sits on a ridge with commanding views of the entire Everest landscape.

  8. Day 8

    Tengboche to Namche Bazaar

    The trek back to Namche Bazaar is a relatively easy six-mile walk through delicate forests. Along the way you'll cross paths with other trekkers who are earlier in their journeys heading up toward higher elevations.

  9. Day 9

    Namche Bazaar to Lukla

    Your final trek day follows the Dudh Kosi river downward to Lukla, retracing the route you took during the opening days of the trek as you make your way back down.

  10. Day 10

    Lukla to Kathmandu

    You'll fly from Lukla back to Kathmandu and check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for shopping, so pick up gifts and souvenirs for friends and family. That evening, you're invited to a farewell dinner where you can review trip photos and swap stories about your trekking experience.

    Excellent service from arrival to flight to Lukla and return from trek. My guide was terrific and did everything he could do for me reach my goal. My Kathmandu tour guide was perhaps the best guide I’ve ever had. He became a good friend who I stay in contact with.

    EBC tour was great. Sabita was always available to us throughout the tour whenever we needed anything. Our guide Tshiring was excellent throughout the 12 day trek. We would have not completed the trek to EBC without his help and support. I would highly recommend female guide to anyone doing the EBC trek.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Female Guide Holiday. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
