Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Luang Prabang
You'll arrive at the airport and head to your hotel in Luang Prabang for a short rest. After settling in, check out Wat Visoun stupa, then move on to Wat Aham and Wat Mai temples. Climb Mount Phousi to see the sacred gilded stupa, and time it so you're up there for sunset views over the Mekong River. Later, walk through the Night Market to browse local handmade textiles before heading back to your hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang
This morning you have the option to wake early and watch monks collecting alms. From there, join a guided tour of Wat Sene and Wat Xiengthong. Later, cruise upstream on the Mekong River to Pak Ou Caves where you'll see thousands of gold Buddha statues. Stop at Ban Xanghai to try local rice wine, then visit Ban Phanom village to see hand weaving. In the afternoon, head to Khouagsi Waterfall and check out Lao ethnic villages, plus silk weaving at Ban Xangkhong. End the day with sunset viewing at Wat Siphouthabath.

Luang Prabang to Xiengkhouang
After breakfast, you'll drive through mountain scenery heading to Xiengkhouang province and the Plain of Jars. Along the way, stop at several villages. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and the rest of the evening is free to do as you like.

Xiengkhouang to Vientiane
Following breakfast, spend the morning at the Plain of Jars archaeological site, where hundreds of large stone jars sit scattered across the plateau. In the afternoon, explore the old capital of Muang Khoun Province and nearby villages where Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people live. Later, catch a short flight to Vientiane and settle into your hotel there.

- Day 5
Vientiane
Spend the day exploring Vientiane's main sights, starting with Wat Sisaket and its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, then move to Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple. Stop at the Patuxay Monument, which is basically Vientiane's version of the Arc de Triomphe. Next, visit That Luang Stupa, Laos's national icon and a very sacred site. In the afternoon, head to Buddha Park where around 200 Buddhist and Hindu sculptures sit on the Mekong Riverside meadow, with pieces dating back over 500 years. Wrap up the day watching the sunset over the Mekong River.
