- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and look for the Travel Talk sign at the terminal for your hotel transfer. After settling in, you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers around 6:00pm for an informal welcome. The rest of the evening is yours to explore the vibrant streets of Cairo or you can join an optional group dinner cruise if that sounds good.

Cairo
This starts early at 7:30am with a full breakfast before heading out to see the Pyramids and Sphinx. Your guide will walk you through these 4,600-year-old sites, then you'll head to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo which holds over 120,000 ancient Egyptian relics. You'll get back to your hotel for the night after a full day.

Cairo to Aswan
You'll fly to Aswan for a city tour that includes the Unfinished Obelisk where you'll learn about ancient construction methods, and Philae Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis on an island in the Nile. After checking in, there's an optional Nubian dinner available if you want to try local food.

Aswan
This one starts very early at 04:45am with an optional trip to Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later you'll board a traditional Felucca sailboat to start your 2-night cruise down the Nile. The afternoon is free to walk around Aswan and explore the Nile banks on your own.

Nile River Cruise
You'll spend a relaxing day sailing down the Nile on your Felucca, taking in the scenery and waving to locals and fishermen along the way. There's time to jump in for a swim, play volleyball with local kids, and enjoy a local meal on the riverbanks as the sun sets.

Edfu - Luxor
After disembarking from the Felucca, you'll board a coach heading north to Kom Ombo to visit its temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. From there you'll continue to Edfu to see one of Egypt's largest temples dedicated to the falcon god Horus, built over 180 years starting in 237 BC. Later in the afternoon you'll arrive in Luxor and explore Luxor Temple after dark, then visit Karnak Temple Complex where your Egyptologist guide will share stories and mythologies.

Luxor to Cairo
Start early with an optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor for aerial views of the landscape. Your guide will then lead you through the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs carved into desert rocks, plus the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon you'll head to the airport for your flight back to Cairo.

Your overnight sleeper train arrives in Cairo in the morning. You'll visit the Egyptian Museum of Cairo with over 120,000 ancient relics and antiquities. After that, explore Cairo including the Citadel of Saladin, Khan el-Khalili bazaar where you can practice haggling, Mohammed Ali Mosque, and the Hanging Church.

Jerash - Ajloun
You'll have a full breakfast before a day of exploration with your guide. The city tour of Amman includes the Citadel and Amphitheatre. Then you'll head to Ajloun to see castle ruins and the ancient city of Jerash, filled with Greco-Roman ruins and inhabited since the Bronze Age. You'll return to Amman by evening.

The day starts with an included Jeep safari through the rocky landscapes of Wadi Rum Desert. After settling in, there's an optional evening tour of Petra by Night lit by over 1,500 candles.

Petra

Dead Sea - Amman
After breakfast, you'll start with a visit to Shobak Castle, the first Crusader fortress in East Jordan built in 1115. Then you'll head toward the Dead Sea, the lowest point of dry land on Earth. You'll float naturally in the incredibly salty water, cover yourself in cleansing mud, and experience the natural minerals before returning to Amman.
