Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco to Sacred Valley
Head out from Cusco early morning toward the Sacred Valley. You'll reach the thermal baths at Lares by afternoon for a soak in the hot springs. After grabbing lunch, start a 2-hour hike to your camping site for the night.

Sacred Valley
Following breakfast, continue through the valley to Huacawasi where local weavers show their traditional ponchos and clothing. The trail takes you up to Open Condorpasa at 4,100m with views across to Veronica's snow peaks at 5,750m. From there, hike down about an hour to reach Ipsaycocha lagoon where you'll set up camp.

Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, descend into the valley and reach Huilloc for lunch. You'll then walk about 2 more hours to see the Pumamarca Incan terraces before continuing on to Ollantaytambo, an Incan walled city in a fertile valley surrounded by mountains. Check out the archaeological remains, then head to the train station and board for Aguas Calientes. Get settled at your hostel by evening.

Machu Picchu to Cusco
Take the early morning bus from Aguas Calientes up to Machu Picchu (you can climb Huayna Picchu if you arrive early). A 3-hour guided tour covers the city's design and building significance. Later, spend time walking around on your own. Catch the afternoon bus back down, then board the train to Cusco. Your driver picks you up at the station and takes you back to your hotel in the evening.
