Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha/Moshi to Simba Camp
Start with a hearty breakfast before you head from Arusha or Moshi to Marangu Gate for registration. After that, you'll transfer to the Rongai trailhead and begin a gentle 3-4 hour hike through maize fields and pine forests where you might see Kilimanjaro Colobus monkeys. You'll then ascend to Simba Camp on the moorland's edge, which gives you panoramic views of the Kenyan plains. Settle in for dinner under the mountain sky.

Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp
After waking up, your mountain chef will prepare gourmet breakfast to fuel the climb to Kikelewa Camp. You'll pause for lunch at 2nd Cave Camp to rest and take in views before continuing the trek. By evening, you'll arrive at Kikelewa Camp for dinner and fireside chats under the starlit African sky, with Tanzania's landscape spreading out below.

Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Hut Camp
Start with a hearty breakfast before tackling a short but steep climb to Mawenzi Tarn Hut Camp at 4,330 meters. The trek takes you through scrubby moorland showcasing Kilimanjaro's unique flora and dramatic landscape, complete with stone towers and great vistas. You'll have gourmet lunch partway through, then rest overnight at this high-altitude camp.

- Day 4
Mawenzi Tarn Hut Camp to Kibo Camp
You'll hike 4-5 hours across the saddle's lunar-like desert, a stark high-altitude expanse between Kilimanjaro's two peaks. After that, you'll arrive at Kibo Camp, your final stop before the summit, positioned below Kibo cone with views of Mawenzi and the goal ahead. This alpine journey showcases raw mountain terrain and builds anticipation for tomorrow's push.

Landmarks Kibo Peak - Day 5
Kibo Camp to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut
Rise just after midnight with tea and a light meal as you prepare for the summit push. You'll ascend 5-6 hours through darkness with headlamps guiding you, reaching Gilman's and Stella Points as dawn breaks. Continue for another hour to Uhuru Peak at 5,895m, where you'll see sunrise over Africa's roof. After celebrating, you'll descend to Kibo Hut for lunch, then continue down to Horombo Hut for dinner and rest.

Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and Return to Arusha/Moshi
Celebrate your Kilimanjaro triumph over a final mountain feast with fellow trekkers and your crew. Then you'll descend to Marangu Gate for farewells, where you'll tip your guides, porters, and cook while taking final photos. Your driver escorts you to comfortable accommodation in Moshi or Arusha for a well-deserved restful night.
