Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
Your Sherpa Expedition representative meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drives you to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu. Either today or tomorrow you'll attend a pre-trek meeting where you'll connect with your tour leader, get your trek duffel bag and sleeping bag, and handle the paperwork. Make sure you have your passport, three passport-size photos, and travel insurance documentation on hand.

- Day 2
Kathmandu
You'll spend the day exploring Kathmandu Valley with a guide, starting at Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal sitting on the Bagmati River's banks. From there you move to Bouddhanath, a Buddhist temple known as 'Little Tibet', then Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple). After visiting UNESCO World Heritage-listed Durbar Square, you head to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Back in Thamel by evening, you can browse shops or relax in cafes.

Kathmandu to Chitwan
It's about a 2-hour drive covering 85 kilometers to Charaudi. There you'll raft down the Trishuli River for 2.5 hours, passing through impressive gorges and navigating rapids. After the water adventure, you continue driving for 3 hours through the hills and over rivers to reach your resort hotel in Chitwan.

- Day 4
Chitwan
Your morning starts with either a jeep safari or jungle walk into Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site where Bengal tigers, rhinos, elephants, and crocodiles live. After lunch you'll take a canoe ride down the river spotting crocodiles. Later you visit the Elephant Breeding Centre to learn about their eating and breeding habits, then in the afternoon you experience a Tharu Cultural Program.

Landmarks/POIs Chitwan National Park - Day 5
Chitwan to Pokhara
You travel by private vehicle for about 5 hours from Chitwan to Pokhara, taking in scenic views of rural settlements and the Himalayan Mountains along the way. Once you arrive, check into your hotel near Lakeside and settle in, since your trek starts tomorrow.

- Day 6
Pokhara to Ghandruk
The 3-hour drive from Pokhara takes you to Kimche through Nayapul and Birethanti, a tourist checkpoint. From there you head onto the trail passing through charming villages like Sauli Bazaar and Chane. You cross the Khumnu Khola river and reach the Gurung town of Ghandruk where you're rewarded with fantastic views of Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli.

- Day 7
Ghandruk to Tadapani
You trek uphill toward Tadapani at higher elevations. Along the way you'll pass rhododendron trees, spot white monkeys in the treetops, and take in views of the Himalayan Mountains all around you.

Tadapani to Ghorepani
This is a 6 to 7-hour trek to Ghorepani. The trail includes hundreds of stairs climbing uphill through the forest, and you'll see several waterfalls visible along the way as you trek through the dense forest.

- Day 9
Ghorepani to Ulleri
You wake early and trek for about one hour to reach Poon Hill for sunrise views of Annapurna, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, and other snow-covered peaks. After watching the sunrise, return to the guesthouse for breakfast. Then continue trekking through rhododendron trees, past streams with bird calls, reaching the gorgeous village of Ulleri where you'll stay overnight.

Ulleri to Pokhara
On your final trekking day you head to Nayapul, then take a short drive back to Pokhara. After arriving you relax at Lakeside and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset over the Annapurna Mountains.

Landmarks/POIs Phewa Tal (Lake) - Day 11
Pokhara
You tour Pokhara by private vehicle starting at Sarangkot to catch the sunrise with eight mountains appearing close by. You'll clearly identify Mt. Machapuchare (Fish Tail). Then visit Devi's Falls, where water plunges into a narrow gorge, and explore Gupteshwor Cave with its 3-kilometer length and Hindu significance. You check out The Tibetan camp Tashi Ling for woolen carpets and handicrafts, then head to Phewa Tal for a 1.5-kilometer boat trip and visit Barahi Temple on an island in the middle of the lake.

It's a 6 to 7-hour drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival you can explore the city or wander around Thamel for last-minute shopping. This evening you'll enjoy a farewell dinner at a typical Nepalese restaurant featuring a cultural performance and a chance to say goodbye to your guide and fellow travelers.

Your Sherpa Expedition representative picks you up and drops you at Kathmandu International Airport three hours before your scheduled departure. You depart Nepal with lasting memories of the country's magnificent mountains and unique culture.
