- Anthony· April 30th, 2025This was such an amazing experience. This was my first time doing a tour like this solo and Dan truly made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Everything was planned so well and we were able to pack so much into this little trip. The group was great and the activities were amazing. I really felt I got as much out of this trip as I could and Dan was a big part of that. He was knowledgeable and clearly went out of his way to make this the best trip it could be. Can’t wait to do it again soon!Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- RTRhiannon· April 30th, 2025Dan is hands down the best tour guide I’ve ever had. From start to finish, he went above and beyond — always looking out for us, making sure we were safe, comfortable, and having the best time possible. Even when navigating the group through the busiest train stations in the world everything ran smoothly. He has built beautiful connections with people and businesses along the way making it an even more special experience. He was funny, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate — always cracking jokes, playing games, and bringing the whole group together like we were one big family. His positive attitude never wavered, no matter how chaotic we got. #Danstours were definitely a highlight and I appreciate all the effort he went to to do these with us! Dan made this trip unforgettable. I’ve come away with amazing memories, a bunch of new friends, and a deep appreciation for how much work goes into making a tour feel this fun and effortless. The special stays and the experiences in this trip were also amazing I can’t fault a thing! From the amazing nature to the temples and culture we were a part of, it’s definitely something I will treasure forever. Thanks for everything, Dan!Show moreTrip date: April 2025

- James· April 25th, 2025A truly brilliant introduction to Japan, I enjoyed pretty much every aspect of the trip. The entire thing was very well organised and run by Becca, she was helpful, friendly and accommodating and kept things light and fun despite the busy itinerary and pressure to get a large group from A to B to C when needed. It's nice to see someone take their work seriously but not be too serious, which I feel is important on a tour like this. I've done tours abroad before, and Becca is one of the best guides I've had, she shows a lot of passion, humour and dedication in her work, and was genuinely fun to be around as an extra member of the group as well as the tour guide. She also went above and beyond to organise a birthday gathering for me, which was very touching. The party hat will be memorable for years to come! I enjoyed all aspects of the itinerary, and didn't feel the trip was too travel heavy, in fact the shinkansen transits were an enjoyable feature of the trip. There's not really anything I'd seek to change, I feel like it was a great introduction to Japan, and I've already booked flights to go back solo and see more of the country.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- GBGeorge· April 19th, 2025I recently completed the Japan Adventure Tour with the amazing Caro as our tour guide. I cannot commend her enough for how knowledgeable and welcoming she is. The tour was incredible, filled with amazing views and interesting experiences. Intro Travel are very helpful through the booking process and if you have any questions they are always happy to help. If youre thinking about trying the Japan Adventure, do it! You will not regret it. I have been left with amazing memories and friends which I will never forget.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- Pedro· April 19th, 2025Tour guide was awesome but I felt like the tour needs a lot of improvement. It was really good but I would do so many little things better.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- MWMegan· April 18th, 2025This 13-day tour of Japan is a joyful, jam-packed journey that will take you to pretty much every major "bucket list" place in the country, plus a few quiet gems. There's a good amount of downtime to allow you to explore the cities and do the more niche things on your list. I luxuriated in the private onsen in Hakone, made sushi and soba noodles (stupidly good), got some chopsticks engraved, saw more shrines than Link in Tears of the Kingdom, went to the Making of Harry Potter outside Tokyo (totally worth the 50 minute commute), chopped 4/4 tatami mats with a 100+ year old samurai sword, got to stay in a traditional ryokan with tatami floors!!!, and almost got interviewed for a Japanese foodie YouTube channel (I didn't have time). The itinerary seemed simpler than it ended up being, but only because every activity involved either a lot of walking or a lot of time--not a bad thing! I've been home about 2 weeks and I already want to go back! Thankfully, I managed to book a trip right around peak cherry blossom season, so almost every single city we went to was full of them! The locals are more obsessed with them than you are, so feel free to take every single photo your heart desires. They won't judge. If you're not sure if you'll have fun on this trip, you will. The food is delicious everywhere, the people are orderly, everything is clean, it's quiet even in the city (unless you're in a very touristy area), and the toilets will make you wish you'd always had a Japanese one. Practical Advice: I would highly recommend bringing electrolytes to help with fatigue from so much travel and altitude change! (I was slightly dehydrated after my trip, and one bottle full helped me perk right back up...after a week of jet lag.) I'd also HIGHLY recommend shoe inserts as you will get 15-25k steps a day, as well as compression socks to help with leg fatigue. (I'm on my feet all day for work and I was still tired.) You don't need to bring a water bottle as vending machines are plentiful and Japan is great about recycling, but I brought mine to avoid using/drinking out of plastic. With current exchange rates, one bottle is about USD $1, so if you buy 3-4 a day, you're spending an extra $40-$50. Japan doesn't have water filling stations, but most of the places we stayed had water available in the lobbies. Bonus: the tap water is safe to drink! Also, PLEASE take the time to learn some service-based Japanese as these will get you into their good graces for trying. I was complimented on my rudimentary sentences and really appreciated it! (NinjaMonkey and KenshoQuest on YouTube were great.) What helped most with language barriers was Google Lens and Google Translate--make sure to download the Japanese language pack to use offline. I also purchased a 2-week eSim (Sakura Mobile, but there are others) that only worked with iPhones, so I had to use apps to contact Android users. Lastly, iPhones users can put a Suica transit pass into their digital wallets to use on Japan's subway system. This made travel a BREEZE, and you can use it to buy from vending machines that are EVERYWHERE in the major cities.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- Samanta· April 17th, 2025Had the best time in Japan with Carolyn as our group leader! She’s super energetic, always positive, and brought such great vibes to the group every single day. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it makes the whole experience even better. Carolyn showed us some really cool spots—some well-known, some hidden gems—and she always had awesome ideas for photo ops. She’s super creative and definitely knows how to capture the moment! She’s also really knowledgeable about Japan and shared tons of interesting info in a fun, engaging way. It never felt like a lecture—just really cool facts and insights that made the places we visited even more special. Honestly, such a pleasure having her as our group leader. Big thank you, Carolyn!Show moreTrip date: April 2025
