Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca
You'll arrive at Casablanca airport and head to your hotel for check-in. This gives you time to settle in and get oriented before the tour begins.
- Day 2
Rabat - Asilah - Tangier
Start by walking through Mohammad V Square and visiting Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. From there, travel to Rabat to see the UNESCO World Heritage Site Oudaya and Hassan Tower. After that, head to the Portuguese-colonial town of Asilah where you'll wander through the art-filled medina and see the 15th-century ramparts. Later, drive to Tangier for the night (about 90 minutes from Asilah).

Chefchaouen
This morning you'll explore Tangier's whitewashed medina, checking out Dar el Makhzen palace-museum and the American Legation Museum. Head to Hercules Caves to see the distinctive African continent-shaped opening and enjoy the 1000ft sea-level views overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. In the afternoon, visit the Kasbah Museum with its Andalusian gardens. Then drive to Chefchaouen (about 2.5 hours) to explore its iconic blue-washed old town, Place Outa el Hammam square, red-walled Kasbah fortress, and Ethnographic Museum. You'll have free time for more wandering before your overnight stay.

Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Travel to the ancient excavated city of Volubilis, which was once the capital of the Mauretania kingdom. The ruins here are quite well-preserved and offer great views of the surrounding area. Continue to Meknes to see the Imperial city's remnants and the famous Bab Mansour gate with its distinctive arches and mosaic tilework. By evening, you'll drive to Fes for your overnight stay (about 1 hour from Meknes).

Fes
Spend the day exploring Fes's historical sites with your guide. You'll see Madrasa El Bouinania, a high point of Marinid architecture from the 14th century. Visit El Quaraoiyin Mosque and University, which UNESCO and Guinness World Records recognize as the world's oldest existing, continually operating higher educational institution. Walk through Nejjarine Square, check out the pottery village, and see the South Tower and royal residence. You'll have free time later to explore on your own before your overnight stay in Fes.

Merzouga Desert
Early departure heading through Ifran with its alpine-style architecture and ski slopes, then through Cedar forests where Barbary macaques live. You'll pass through Midelt and Errachida, then traverse the scenic Ziz Valley's rocky passage and reach Erfoud. By sunset, you're at a desert camp where you'll ride camels with dinner, campfire entertainment, and local music. You'll sleep in a private tent here.

Merzouga Desert
Wake early to watch the sunrise, then grab breakfast before camels take you back from the Berber camp. A 4x4 excursion then gives you a full visit of the Erg Chebbi dunes and highlighted desert sites. You'll try traditional local lunch (Medfouna) and have free time for exploration. After dinner, you'll stay overnight at a hotel in Merzouga.

After breakfast, drive to Ouarzazate and visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO heritage site showcasing traditional Moroccan earthen clay architecture. Travel through Errissani toward Skoura, then to the charming city of Tinghir with its magnificent palm-grove. Visit the limestone river canyons in the eastern High Atlas Mountains, then continue to Boumalne Dades with its scenic landscapes near the Todgha Gorge. You'll stay overnight in Boumalne Dades.

After breakfast, travel to Marrakech via Ouarzazate. Visit Atlas Studio to explore the movie-making world and discover stories of film production. You'll also visit the 17th-century kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing traditional Moroccan earthen clay architecture. Drive through Tishka Pass at 2260m altitude. You'll have free time in Marrakech later with an overnight stay.

Essaouira

You'll also explore Jamaa El Fna, the central marketplace square where vendors and performers gather. After the guided tour, transfer to Essaouira for an overnight stay (about 2.5 hours away).

You'll experience the city's vibrant cultural mix as you wander around. Your tour driver picks you up around 2 pm for the drive back to Marrakech (about 2.5 hours). You'll stay overnight in Marrakech.
