Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Bulbule
After breakfast in Kathmandu, you'll drive through the Prithvi Highway with views of river valleys and terraced farmland. The route passes through the Trishuli and Marshyangdi river areas, crossing green hillsides. You'll stop briefly in Besisahar and then continue to Bulbule near Khudi for the night (about 7-8 hours total).

Bulbule to Chamje
Your first trekking day starts along the Marshyangdi River with multiple suspension bridges ahead. The trail goes through farming areas, forests, and past waterfalls. You'll walk through Syange and Jagat before reaching Chamje by evening (5-6 hours, moderate pace).

Chamje to Dharapani
After breakfast from Chamje, you'll trek uphill along the river through Sattale and then enter the Manang region officially at Tal. Stone staircases and ancient chhortens mark the steeper sections to Dharapani. From there, the path becomes more gradual leading to Bagarchhap (5-6 hours).

Dharapani to Chame
The trek continues through rocky terrain past Timang and into sub-tropical forest. You'll head steadily to Kopar, then make your way to Chame, which serves as the district center. Annapurna views open up from Chame in the afternoon (6-7 hours, moderate climb).

Chame to Pisang
Leaving Chame, you'll walk through dense forest with several bridge crossings along the way. The Marshyangdi River stays nearby as snowy peaks come into view. By afternoon you'll reach Pisang village at the base of Pisang peak (4-5 hours).

Pisang to Manang
From Chame the landscape turns more arid with herds and other trekkers visible. You can choose between two routes: the easier path via Hongde to Ghyaru, or the longer route through Braga. Both lead to Manang village, a large Tibetan Buddhist settlement (5-7 hours depending on route).

Manang
This is a rest day in Manang for acclimatization. You'll explore Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, chhortens, and Mani walls while seeing local life. In the afternoon, hike to Gangapurna Lake and return to the village (4-5 hours total walking time).

Manang to Yak Kharka
After breakfast from Manang, you'll climb through the Jarshang Khola valley. The trail steepens as you reach grazing meadows leading to Yak Kharka. If energy allows, you can push on to Ledar for the night (4-6 hours depending on destination).

Yak Kharka to Thorong High Camp
From Yak Kharka the path climbs gradually to Ledar, then descends to the river. You'll climb steadily toward Phedi. If you're feeling strong, continue a couple more hours to Thorong High Camp (5-7 hours).

Thorong High Camp to Muktinath
Starting early from Phedi, you'll ascend through steep rocky slopes to Thorong La pass at 5,416 meters. From the pass, views include Annapurna, Manaslu, and Chulu peaks. After photos, you'll descend on slippery trails to Muktinath (7-8 hours, physically demanding).

Jomsom to Kalopani

Kalopani to Tatopani
Continue descending while following the Kaligandaki River. You'll pass Lete and Ghasa with good valley views, then trek past Kopchepani. By afternoon reach Tatopani where natural hot springs let you soak and recover (5-6 hours downhill).

After breakfast, trek uphill through Gharkhola and into a rhododendron forest with bird calls throughout. The trail climbs steadily to Ghorepani, located at the base of Poon Hill (5-6 hours uphill, moderate to challenging).

Ghorepani to Pokhara
Wake early and hike to Poon Hill for sunrise over snowy peaks. Take photos, then return to Ghorepani for breakfast. From there, trek down through Ulleri and Tikhedhunga to Nayapul, then catch a taxi to Pokhara (6-7 hours total).
