- James· December 12th, 2022Morocco Mountain Guides provided an unforgettable experience doing a 3 day and 2 night trek from Imlil to the top of Toubkal and back. First day was trekking around Imlil with Hassan, who has grown up and lived in Imlil his whole life. He was warm and welcoming and spoke about the history of Imlil. First night I stayed in a beautiful guesthouse in Imlil with a terrace overlooking the whole village and delicious food and generous hospitality from Lahcen. Second day was a gentle day heading up to Refuge Toubkal via shrine at El Chamrouche followed by early night prior to the summit day. We woke up at 4:30am on the third day and ascended to summit of Toubkal in the dark with headtorches on getting there in time for sunrise. One of the most memorable experiences of my life, brought tears to my eyes. We then had great fun charging down back to Imlil. Thank you so much Lahcen, Hassan and rest of the Moroccan Mountain Guide team for an unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. I look forward to going back sometime in the future for more High Atlas trekking with Moroccan Mountain GuidesShow more
- Christopher· December 11th, 2022I booked a 5 day solo tour with Ridouane (my guide) and Hassan (our driver). Let me start off my saying that the tour was perfectly smooth thanks to both of them! Sadly I had a cold the whole time but Ridouane went above and beyond to adapt to my needs such as a switching hotels twice during the trip. Besides being adaptable, Ridouane is without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable guides I’ve ever hired who (I’m not joking) managed to answer every one of my questions except for one during the whole excursion! And for that one question I can’t even find info online…Hassan drove us quickly and safely across the country and was super friendly as well. I also really liked their choice of hotels! All in all guys, thanks for this trip which I will keep looking back to when I think of Morocco. Hope to see you when I’m back, this time to go north!Show more

Asked on February 13th, 2022Can you tell me which departures between March 16th and March 24th have others already booked on them? I am a solo traveller but want to travel with a group to avoid single supplement fee and to meet people. Also, please let me know how cold it will be on the mountain at this time of year (mid- to late-March) and what type of gear I should expect to pack. What size of backpack should I bring and what type of stuff will I be required to carry on me?

Traveler•Written February 20221) I can be interested in the 2-day version if you get groups booked on that. Will you let me know as you receive bookings? 2) how many hours hiking each day? 3) is there snow on the ground all the way through, or for how much of the trip? 4) how deep is the snow? Are gators required? 5) what is the average temperature at the summit in mid to late March? 6) is the accommodation heated?
