Itinerary
- Day 1
Antananarivo
Your international flight lands in Antananarivo where you'll be met at the airport. From there, a transfer takes you to your hotel for the night.
- Day 2
Antananarivo to Antsirabe
After breakfast, you'll head south through the highland landscape, passing traditional houses and terraced rice fields. The route stops at Ambatolampy to see a small aluminium pots factory. You'll reach Antsirabe, called the 'city of water', by late afternoon.

Antsirabe to Ranomafana
An early breakfast gets you on the road for the full drive to Ranomafana, a former thermal spa town on the Namorona River. If time allows, a night rainforest walk offers chances to spot fosa, chameleons, frogs, and the Microcebus lemur, the world's tiniest lemur species.

Landmarks/POIs Ranomafana National Park - Day 4
Ranomafana to Fianarantsoa
You'll have an early breakfast and then head into the rainforest with a park ranger to see lemurs in their natural setting. Ranomafana National Park covers 40,000 hectares of cloud forest, home to rare Golden Bamboo and Greater Bamboo lemurs. After the morning trail, you'll drive to Fianarantsoa, a historic hilltop town with beautiful traditional architecture showing different colonial periods.

Landmarks/POIs Ranomafana National Park Fianarantsoa - Day 5
Fianarantsoa to Ranohira
Departing in the morning for Ranohira, you'll stop at Ambalavaoto to visit a traditional Antemoro paper workshop where handmade paper comes from crushed tree bark topped with dried flowers. Later, Anja reserve lets you see ring-tailed lemurs. From there, the drive continues through rocky landscape with sacred hills, passing through the 'gates of the South' and the Horombe uplands, arriving at Ranohira late in the day.

Ranohira
With a park ranger, you'll hike through Isalo's canyons and oases to reach waterfalls across a Jurassic-age landscape. The area has unique plants adapted to harsh conditions. You'll see ring-tailed lemurs and other species, take in panoramic views, and swim in natural pools. Hiking difficulty adjusts based on your group's capacity and preferences.

Landmarks/POIs Isalo National Park - Day 7
Ranohira to Ifaty
Leaving Ranohira for Tulear, the scenery shifts to southern vegetation like baobabs, aloes, and euphorbiaceae. Along the way, you'll see large herds of zebus and Mahafaly ethnic group tombs. Sapphire mining villages appear across the desert landscape. A stop at Reniala reserve comes before arriving in Tulear and continuing to Ifaty for the evening. Your driver and guide head back to Tana after you check in.

Ifaty to Antananarivo
