- EMElodie· October 30th, 2022Kind of hard yet had an amazing time. The ascend of Kala Patthar isn’t easy for everyone. It does get steeper as you go, with some scree and even rock clambering in certain places. We took a reasonable three hours, but as long as you have proper warm weather clothing, you don't need to rush. Even while departing at 7am, it was minus 2C, but I advise choosing this time for sunset rather than pre-dawn because it is not only warmer but also much less crowded. Beautiful views, and in my perspective, a much better experience than EBC.Show more

We linked the director Nilam who replied very quickly to our queries and we found ourselves booked for the trip after a month of communications without hesitation. Nilam kindly arranged the trip at ground zero to fit our timetables and conditions. The whole trip was unreal! Our guide would be the best guide ever since he was always smiling and endlessly entertaining us, irrespective of the situation during the trekking. He took extra care of my buddy and I because at the last hour we had to change the trekking schedule. Our porter was also very helpful and cooperative. From Buddhism lessons at dinner, to teaching us Nepali along the trails, we got much more than just pristine mountain views out of our trekking experience. Although we did not make it to Everest base camp due to our own time limit, we were thrilled that with our time constraint we could still make it to Ama Dablam basecamp.
