Itinerary
- Day 1
Quito
You'll arrive in Quito and get transferred to your hotel. A local guide will meet you there to go over what's coming up during your time in Ecuador.
- Day 2
Quito
This is your free day to rest up from traveling and wander around Quito on your own schedule. The city sits at 9,350 feet on the western Andes and has some really nice colonial architecture, making it one of South America's more charming capitals.

- Day 3
Quito to Galápagos Islands
You'll fly from Quito to Baltra Airport in the Galapagos Islands, going through airport security. After meeting your naturalist guide and grabbing your luggage, you'll take a dinghy out to the Archipel I catamaran. In the afternoon, head to the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center to see giant tortoises from Espanola Island.

Galápagos Islands
Start your morning at Cormorant Point where you can spot Galapagos penguins and flamingo lagoons surrounded by extinct tuff cones. Later, you'll go to Post Office Bay in the afternoon, a historic spot where you can leave postcards in an old barrel.

Galápagos Islands
The morning takes you to Gardner Bay on Espanola Island, one of the more exclusive locations in the Galapagos. In the afternoon, you'll hike at Suarez Point on the western tip of Espanola, which is great for birdwatching and photography since you'll get close views of marine iguanas.

- Day 6
Galápagos Islands
Start at Pitt Point in the morning, the easternmost spot in the Galapagos with two distinctive wind-sculpted tuff cones that Darwin's crew spotted first from the HMS Beagle. After lunch, head to Witch Hill's curved beach where you can relax for the afternoon.

- Day 7
Galápagos Islands
You'll hike on Lobos Islet in the morning, walking the Asylum of Peace trail past a cave and freshwater spring, then visiting La Loberia beach to watch sea lions. The afternoon is spent at the Interpretation Centre learning about how the archipelago's ecology works and what conservation efforts are happening here.

Galápagos Islands
South Plaza is your morning stop, where you'll see the famous Galapagos dragons moving around this Jurassic-looking islet. From there, you'll go to Sante Fe in the afternoon, another island that's home to pale Barrington land iguanas and other wildlife found nowhere else.

- Day 9
Galápagos Islands
Head to North Seymour in the morning to see the biggest seabird breeding colony in the archipelago, with frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies everywhere. Later in the afternoon, visit Chinese Hat, a relatively young volcanic islet.

Galápagos Islands to Guayaquil
You'll start at El Chato Reserve and Twin Craters in the morning, a protected area within Galapagos National Park on Santa Cruz Island. After that, you'll transfer by dinghy to San Cristobal, then take an airport shuttle to Baltra. From there, fly to Guayaquil to catch international flights starting at 6pm.
