Paris
You'll arrive at the barge moored in central Paris between noon and 2 PM. From there, start with a canal cruise heading toward the Seine, then navigate upstream to where the Seine and Marne rivers meet. It's a nice introduction to the waterways before settling in for the evening.

Paris
Departing near the Bois and Château of Vincennes, you'll spend the day on your bike riding mostly on dedicated trails and quiet roads with relatively low traffic. The route keeps things manageable and lets you get comfortable with cycling before the more challenging days ahead.

La Ferté-sous-Jouarre
Today you enter the Brie region, famous for its soft cheese production. The route takes you through some rolling hills as you make your way to Meaux, where you can see the unfinished Gothic cathedral. By evening, you'll moor near the small town of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre and have time to explore or rest.

Château-Thierry
This is a nice ride through the countryside with some hills to work through. As you cycle along the river valley, you'll start seeing the first vineyards marking the edge of the Champagne region. You'll pass through Château-Thierry, a town with real character and history along these waterways.

Damery
You'll ride alongside the river with a few hills scattered throughout the route. Stop at a park in Dormans where there's a World War I memorial, then continue on to the village of Damery where the barge moors for the night. It's a good spot to walk around and grab dinner.

Epernay
Cycling from near Dormans through vine-covered fields and hillier terrain, you're heading toward Epernay, the heart of the Champagne industry. The landscape shifts noticeably as you move deeper into wine country. Once you arrive, visit one of the many Champagne houses for a guided tour of the cellars where thousands of bottles age underground.

Landmarks/POIs Epernay Champagne Houses - Day 7
Reims
You'll leave the Marne Valley and head to Reims, an ancient town with significant history. The Cathedral de Notre Dame is where French kings were crowned until 1825 and was carefully restored after damage during the Great War. Later, tour Pommery, one of the largest Champagne brands, to see the famous Heidsieck champagne with hundreds of thousands of bottles stored in the cellars. If you prefer, check out the Musée des Beaux Arts or simply wander through the town instead.
