Kigali
You'll be picked up at Kigali International Airport and driven to your hotel. Depending on when you arrive, there's the option to do a city tour the same day, so you can either head straight to rest or get out and see some of Kigali's main sites.

- Day 2
Kigali to Nyungwe Forest
Start early with breakfast, then drive into Nyungwe Forest. You'll stop at Nyanza King's Palace and the Ethnographic Museum along the way, and also visit the Murambi genocide memorial before reaching your accommodation in the forest for the night.

Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast you'll head into Nyungwe Forest with a guide to track colobus monkeys. Your guides will talk about the plants, birds, and how different species interact in the forest. Come back to the guest house for lunch and stay overnight there.

Nyungwe Forest
Head out early to track chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest, then return for lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon you can choose to do either a canopy walk or hike to a waterfall. You'll spend the night at Top View Hill Hotel.

Landmarks Nyungwe Forest - Day 5
Nyungwe Forest to Kibuye
Drive early in the morning to Kibuye via Gisakura. The route takes you through Rwanda's green hills with views of Lake Kivu. You'll stay at Betania Guest House, which has access to a beach on the lake and good spots to watch the sunset.

Kibuye to Gisenyi
Get transferred to Gisenyi either by speed boat or vehicle, depending on what you prefer. Along the way you'll see different islands on Lake Kivu and views of the Congolese hills. Overnight at Paradise Malahide.

Landmarks Lake Kivu - Day 7
Gisenyi to Musanze
After breakfast you'll have time to relax and swim at Kivu Serena Beach. Later in the day you'll drive to Musanze, which is the starting point for gorilla tracking. Stop at the Gorilla Guardians cultural village, then check in at Five Volcanoes Hotel, where primatologist Dian Fossey stayed during her research.

Volcanoes National Park
Early morning transfer to Volcanoes National Park. You'll arrive at the main office by 7:00am for the briefing and coffee, then head into the forest to track gorillas. After the trek you'll return to the hotel.

Volcanoes National Park
Get briefed at 7:00am for golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park. You'll return by lunch time, and later visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Stay overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel.

Musanze to Akagera National Park
After breakfast you'll travel to Akagera National Park, driving through Kigali. Stop for lunch at Dereva Hotel about an hour before the park entrance. In the afternoon you'll take a cruise on Lake Ihema and do some bird watching, then settle in at Akagera Game Lodge.

- Day 11
Akagera National Park to Kigali
After breakfast you'll spend the whole day on a game drive covering roughly 7 hours from the park entrance to the exit. You'll see Rwanda's wildlife and have plenty of chances to take photos. Then head back to Kigali for the night at 2000 Hotel.

Kigali
After breakfast and depending on your flight time, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial. If you have time you can also check out the Natural History Museum or President's Palace Museum. Grab lunch at Africa Bite Restaurant for authentic African food, browse for souvenirs at Caplaki Craft Village, then get driven to the airport.
