Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport where someone from the tour will meet you and drive you to your hotel by private car. Take the rest of the day to rest and get comfortable after your flight. Later in the evening, your guide will take you out for a welcome dinner, then you'll head back to settle in for the night.

Kathmandu UNESCO Sites Tour
After breakfast, you'll join a guided tour visiting Kathmandu's UNESCO sites including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and the three Durbar Squares. Back at your hotel in the evening, there's a pre-trip meeting to go over the trek details and check your gear.

- Day 3
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Head out early for a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, with views of the Himalayas and possibly Mt. Everest if weather cooperates. From Lukla, you'll start trekking toward Phakding, walking along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River for about two hours before reaching your lodge for the night.

Landmarks Mount Everest Dudh Koshi River - Day 4
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Trek through the Dudh Koshi valley, crossing a couple of small suspension bridges to get to Monjo where Sagarmatha National Park begins. The path goes through Jhorsalle with waterfalls, villages, and forests of rhododendron, fir, and magnolia all around. The final steep section brings you to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay.

Namche Bazaar Acclimatization
This is your first day for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar, one of the region's largest villages and home to many Sherpas. The day is open for you to rest and walk around at your own speed. You can take an optional trip to Everest View Hotel for mountain views or just wander the local market and soak in village life.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
From Namche Bazaar, trek to Phunki and then climb toward Tengboche to see the oldest and largest monastery in the Everest region. The location offers views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and other peaks before you stay at a lodge for the night.

Tengboche to Dingboche
After breakfast, walk through forests of rhododendron, conifers, and birch trees. You'll descend to Debuche by crossing the Imja River, then head up to Pangboche where there's a monastery to visit. From there, continue trekking toward Dingboche for an overnight lodge stay.

Dingboche to Chhukung
Trek through stone-walled fields and across glacier moraine with mountains visible all day. You'll cross icy streams as the path winds toward Chhukung where you'll stay overnight. From this spot, you get nice views of Mt. Ama Dablam and Amphu Labtsa.

Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp
Begin going upward south then turn east to meet the main valley. Trek on winding paths near the stream with views of the Amphu Lapcha route to the southeast. Navigate through the criss-cross terrain of Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines before reaching Island Peak Base Camp for the night.

Island Peak Base Camp Training & Acclimatization
Today you'll rest and prepare for the summit attempt. Instructors will teach you climbing techniques and how to use your gear, including ropes for going up and down. You'll trek to high camp and back to base camp as part of getting your body ready for the final push.

- Day 11
Island Peak Summit
You'll wake around midnight or 1 am for breakfast, then start the summit push aiming to reach the peak before afternoon winds pick up. The climb goes through sandy and grassy sections first, then shifts to rougher terrain with rocky gullies and steeper slopes. After time at the summit, you'll trek back down to Chhukung for the night.

Landmarks Island Peak - Day 12
Chhukung to Tengboche
Descend down the Imja Khola valley through Dingboche and Pangboche, passing viewpoints with sights of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and other peaks. When you get to Tengboche, stop at Tengboche Monastery, the oldest and largest in the Khumbu region, before staying at a lodge.

Tengboche to Namche Bazaar
Walk down through hills covered in juniper and rhododendron trees. Cross a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and head toward the Dudh Koshi gorge. Keep descending through pine forest to Sansa where you might see snow leopards, colorful pheasants, or mountain goats. By evening you'll reach Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay.

Landmarks Dudh Koshi River - Day 14
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Start by crossing a suspension bridge, then trek through thick rhododendron and pine forests to reach Phakding. Continue along the Dudh Koshi River until you get to Lukla. Grab lunch there and have the rest of the day free to relax or check out nearby areas before staying at a lodge.

Landmarks Dudh Koshi River - Day 15
Lukla to Kathmandu
After morning tea, fly back to Kathmandu with final views of the Himalayas from the air. Your driver will transfer you to your hotel when you land. The afternoon and evening are open for you to relax and walk around Thamel, Kathmandu's busy tourist and cultural area.
