- William· October 24th, 2024Although everything was well organized there were some places visited I wish there was more time to look around on my own. Miriam, our guide, was excellent and went out of her way to help with anything we might have needed during the tour. The group was definitely in good hands. She did a great job conveying the information for all our stops.Show moreExpat Explore Travel commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback! We're pleased to hear that you found the tour well-organized. We appreciate your suggestion about wanting more time for independent exploration at some stops, and we'll keep that in mind as we continue to improve our tours.... Show moreTrip date: October 2024

- Mmari· November 11th, 2023It exceeded my expectations. The places we’ve been is so marvelous. My experience was so surreal. Thanks to the tour guide Meena Mouniry for giving us informations about ancient Egypt. Our group was so happy with our trip. The schedule was tight but worth it. Thanks for the time well spent. - BPBlake· August 18th, 2023Overall it was good. A few times things changed and time table was confusing on occasion. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared it with us which I enjoyed. Accommodations were excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. Was good when we had a break as it felt we were always rushing around to squeeze it all in.Show moreExpat Explore Travel commented on this reviewThank you for your review. - Alesia· May 12th, 2023Astounding. Breathtaking. A glimpse into the past of the greatest civilization on Earth. George (Tamer) was our guide. I have never taken a tour before, and George's know how, knowledge, and personality had no bounds! He is the BEST tour guide, over flowing with love of his past and a passion that shines. Our 9 days were packed, which I love! You can sleep when you get home, but in the mean time, I tried to do all the extra excursions, because why not?! I love Egypt and it's profound history. This opportunity was a dream come true for me as an archaeologist! I HIGHLY recommend this tour and George!!! George is attentive, always made sure we understood and was clear on the days proceedings. I didn't have to worry about a thing, because George was on the ball 100% of the time. Please go. Please absorb. Thank you George, Egypt, my Phoenix group, Tour Radar, and Expat for an experience and perspective I'm still processing.Show moreTrip date: March 2023

- JLJolanta· March 15th, 2023The sights were great, as one would expect, however, the overall time management could be better. Much of the introductory information could have been shared on the bus prior to arriving at the site instead of us standing in the sun watching throngs of people passing us by. After visiting Abu Simbel the guides played a movie about relocation of the temples on a continuous loop until we asked them to stop. The felucca overnight was a disaster with most of us getting bitten by mosquitos as the operators didn’t have proper nets (they used some regular fabric which reeked of sweat & which they stretched around after mosquitoes appeared effectively locking them in with us). The mats on the felucca were also dirty & smelly. Too many extremely early wake-up calls (4am) made it difficult to relax. I would not recommend this trip.Show moreTrip date: March 2023
- ABAylthon· January 1st, 2023The route was well planned and if we had tried to plan it ourselves without a tour guide, we wouldn't have been able to do half of it. The tour guide, George Tamer, was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole tour, giving loads of information regarding the highlights of the Egyptian sites and history. We were lucky that we got into a small group of 5 people and therefore we were able to move around using a smaller bus.Show moreTrip date: December 2022

Asked on September 16th, 2024Does this tour package have hot Air ballon activity included?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written September 2024
No this does not. Hot Air Balloons are indeed a popular Experience in Egypt but we no longer offer that as an Optional because of difficulties in finding a supplier. Customers may arrange this experience on their own and schedule it on Free Time or Free Days within the itinerary.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024Are international flights included in the tour price?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
Whilst internal flights are covered for certain itineraries, you will have to make your way to the meeting point for the start of your tour. When booking flights be mindful of departure times and possible delays.
Tip: We suggest that you start comparing prices the moment your deposit is paid to avoid costly flights.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024Can you cater for my dietary requirements?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
We make every effort to include local cuisine on our tours to ensure an authentic experience for you. You'll receive an email before the tour begins, where we'll ask for your dietary preferences. We always have a vegetarian option, and we'll work hard to accommodate any other dietary needs or preferences you may have.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024Do I need to exchange cash before I leave?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
Contactless payment is widely accepted across Europe – it’s best to bring a payment card with no overseas withdrawal fees.
* Keep in mind that certain optionals are payable in cash to your tour leader whilst on tour. We suggest that you talk to your Tour Leader about when & where to draw cash to pay for the optional excursions.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024If I wish to stay longer in the start or end destination, will Expat Explore assist with pre/post-tour accommodation?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
While Expat Explore cannot assist with booking pre or post-tour accommodation, we recommend Booking.com for affordable accommodation options prior to and after the tour. Please request this by sending a message through on the conversation page.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024Can Expat Explore issue me with a visa?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
While Expat Explore endeavours to stay current on all major entry requirements, we are not a registered visa agent. We are, however, able to make things a little easier by providing you with the required supporting documents for a visa application once your tour is paid in full. It is a requirement of the embassies that tours are paid for in full before visa support documentation is requested and applications are made. When you have made the final payment for your booking, simply reach out to our Customer Support Team to request your visa support documents and confirm which embassy you will be applying to.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024How much spending money do I need for my holiday?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
This is up to you and will vary depending on how much you wish to spend on snacks, drinks, souvenirs etc. We do not include entrance fees to attractions and museums. We do, however, provide you with free time to see everything you want, and our tour leaders will have all the information on pricing and locations so you can manage your own budget. Please refer to your tour-specific pre-departure information and optional excursions guide for further details.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024Is travel insurance compulsory?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
It's your responsibility to arrange sufficient travel insurance for your trip. When you travel with Expat Explore, both you and your personal belongings do so at your own risk. A comprehensive insurance policy should cover medical expenses for illness or accidents before or during the holiday, as well as reimbursement for lost holiday funds due to cancellation, curtailment, or other insurable events. Make sure there are no exclusions that would limit coverage for the activities included in your tour.
We generally recommend WorldNomads because they cover a wide variety of nationalities, but you are welcome to use any supplier that offers you the most comprehensive plan.
You are able to obtain travel insurance through one of TourRadars partners, XCover. Please reach out to receive a quote.

Asked on March 22nd, 2024How fit do I need to be to join and what is the average age range?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
We embrace travelers of all ages and backgrounds, prioritizing attitude and mindset over age restrictions. However, our tours are fast-paced and jam-packed with experiences. Regrettably, individuals with mobility limitations or those using wheelchairs may find this tour challenging. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for exploring quaint towns and navigating cobblestone streets. We want every traveler to fully enjoy their journey, so we encourage reviewing the itinerary carefully before making your booking decision.
