Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in San José
You'll touch down at San José International Airport and our staff will be waiting for you after you collect your luggage and get through customs. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel to get settled in.
- Day 2
San José City Tour
This morning you'll walk through San José's cultural heart, starting with the National Theater Lobby and the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum. Then head to Central Market to see local life up close, followed by the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Old Train Station. You'll also check out the University of Costa Rica campus and end the day browsing a local art gallery for souvenirs to take home.

Doka Coffee Estate, Poás Volcano & La Paz Waterfall Gardens
Start early with breakfast at Doka Coffee Estate, then take a guided tour through an active coffee plantation to see how things work there. After that, you're heading to Poás Volcano National Park where you'll see the active stratovolcano crater and hike out to Botos Lagoon. By afternoon, you'll reach La Paz Waterfall Gardens for a buffet lunch, then spend time walking the rainforest trails, checking out waterfalls, and seeing the wildlife exhibits.

Rainforest Aerial Tram & Braulio Carrillo National Park
You'll spend about 1 hour 20 minutes riding the Aerial Tram high above Braulio Carrillo National Park, getting a view of the rainforest canopy from above. A guide will take you on a forest trek down on the ground, and you'll tour the butterfly, orchid, and reptile exhibits to learn about what lives in the rainforest.

Free Day in San José
Today is yours to use however you'd like. Stay at the hotel and relax if that appeals to you, or get out and explore the area on your own. If you want to do something more structured, optional activities are on the table for those interested.

Departure from San José
