Summer· July 29th, 2024I had a great time sailing around the South coast of Turkey for a week. It was great to sunbathe, swim and snorkel in beautiful bays and eat delicious food cooked by the chef. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to see the south on a boat. Turkish people are the most welcoming and friendly I've yet to come across while travelling. Our crew were exceptional and we will remain friends. It was too hot (no Aircon on our boat) to sleep in our beds so we slept on deck....all part of the experience, but the mosquitos were an unwelcome byproduct. Make sure to take something for that - and eye masks for that morning sun :) My advice to the Travel company , is advertise the 'party boat' as exactly that...me and my 52 Yr old partner who were originally assigned to that boat would not have enjoyed the experience listening to 20sumthings doing bodyshots all day! Equally the boats should not be travelling in tandem as the loud party boat meant we couldn't hear ourselves talk over dinner some nights. Great crew. Saw some nice areas of Turkey. Would call this a full board holiday experience where you wake up somewhere new everyday. Boat: The boat can be SANDA depending on the departure and it has capacity of 16, 32 or 48 depending on the number of the passengers. Sleeping arrangements: shared cabins, or own cabin at additional cost. Smoking: Common areas, such as the back deck and front deck, are open-air, so smoking is permitted there. Food: Local cuisine is served throughout the tour. Guide: You will be accompanied by a local, experienced tour leader.
