Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Buenos Aires

After arriving at Buenos Aires airport or bus station, you'll get transferred to your hotel. From there, the day is open for you to rest up, unpack, or start walking around the city on your own. There's no set schedule, so you can take it at whatever pace feels right.

  2. Day 2

    Buenos Aires

You'll spend the day on a city tour covering Buenos Aires' major areas. Start in the center seeing Avenida 9 de Julio, Teatro Colón, and the Obelisco. Then head to Plaza de Mayo and move through San Telmo where tango venues line the streets. La Boca comes next with its colorful buildings, followed by the waterfront area of Puerto Madero. Later you'll visit the green spaces of Palermo and finish in the elegant Recoleta neighborhood. If it's Sunday, the tour wraps up at San Telmo's Antiques Fair.

Purmamarca comes next, featuring the Cerro de Siete Colores mountain and Santa Rosa de Lima church from 1648. In Tilcara, you'll check out the reconstructed Pucará indigenous fortress. After passing the Tropic of Capricorn at Huacalera, you reach Uquía to view its Arcabuceros Angels paintings. Wonderful trip between the regions of Catamarca, Salta and Jujuy. Fantastic organization and very nice people who showed me areas and cultures of Argentina that unfortunately are not much talked about. 100% worth it.

I'm a bit disappointed because I had to ask every day for my itinerary to know what had been agreed for the day. I really advise you to make a detailed schedule so that you know better what's going to happen. I was also supposed to have a meal included in the Jujuy excursion but I had to pay for the 2 of us AND when I asked the sister (who was the guide on this tour) to contact her brother (who was in charge at Aborigènes tours) to send him a message if we had a hotel and a transfer from Buenos Aires international airport) she must not have done so. She must not have done so Because I also wrote to her and didn't receive a reply until I was on the plane from Jujuy to Buenos Aires, and as I hadn't received a reply before my departure I booked a hotel and transportation myself So... There was confusion and 2 hotels and 2 transfers He contacted me several times by phone And he wanted me to cancel at my destination AND come back to his hotel I got angry and told him no I wouldn't drive another 2 hours I wouldn't spend the day in the car So he did what was necessary (but not easy) to accommodate me. It all worked out in the end
