You'll arrive in Broome and meet the other travelers at an icebreaker dinner with views of the Indian Ocean. As the sun sets over the water, you'll get to know the group you'll be exploring with for the next 11 days.

Broome
Today gives you choices. You can fly north to see the Horizontal Falls, visit a pearl farm to learn how gems are cultivated and harvested, or take it easy on Cable Beach where you'll find 22 kilometres of sand, ancient dinosaur footprints, and local boutique shops to browse.

Broome to Fitzroy Crossing
Start at Gantheaume Point to see dinosaur footprints left over 125 million years ago along the coast. Then you'll head toward Fitzroy Crossing, a remote gateway town where you can see the Kimberley's dramatic gorges, waterfalls, ancient rock formations, and river systems.

Fitzroy Crossing
An Indigenous guide leads you through the Mimbi Caves, where you'll see delicate limestone formations, coloured rocks, and crystal-clear freshwater pools from the Devonian Great Barrier Reef created 350 million years ago. You'll view ancient rock paintings, hear Dreamtime stories, and have billy tea and damper.

Halls Creek to El Questro Wilderness Park
Stop at the Yarliyil Arts Centre in Halls Creek to see Indigenous art and stories about country and history. Later you'll drive part of the Gibb River Road and arrive at El Questro Wilderness Park, where safari-style tents overlook the rusty red Cockburn Range. You'll fall asleep to frogs and cicadas.

El Questro to Wyndham
Travel to Wyndham, Western Australia's northernmost township. Explore the town and its surrounding wetlands, then cool off in the resort pool. As evening comes, relax on your patio with a drink while the day winds down.

Kununurra
At Hoochery Distillery, meet the owners and learn how they make award-winning rums and whiskys from Australian sugarcane, rainwater, and yeast. You can try a tasting paddle before morning tea. Then visit the Durack Homestead Museum to learn about cattle station families, then take an afternoon cruise on Lake Argyle where you'll see freshwater crocodiles and birds.

Pick your adventure today. You can take a scenic flight over the Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park, go on a 4WD tour of the same landscape, or join your Travel Director for a walk through Mirima National Park, the 'mini Bungles', while learning how these geological formations came to be.

You'll cross from Western Australia into the Northern Territory and see the vast pastoral lands of the outback. At the Katherine Outback Experience, you'll learn about the Northern Territory's unique pastoral history and culture through songs and stories told in a real, raw, and sometimes funny way.

Katherine to Darwin
Cruise through Nitmiluk Gorge on Jawoyn land, one of 13 gorges carved through the national park, watching sandstone cliffs change colour as you travel. Head north along the Adelaide River to see WWII sites like a former military base. After arriving in Darwin, explore the city and learn about Cyclone Tracy and WWII bombing. Your farewell dinner tonight is where you'll exchange contact details with your new friends.
