Santiago
You'll land at Santiago airport and meet your guide at gate 3 for a private transfer to your hotel. The driver will be official, so avoid any unofficial offers that might approach you at the terminal.

This morning starts with a city tour showing Santiago's mix of old and new. In the afternoon, take the cable car up San Cristobal Hill to view the 72-foot Virgin Mary statue overlooking the city.

Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama
A private transfer takes you to Santiago airport for your flight to Calama. After landing, you'll join a shared transfer heading to San Pedro de Atacama, a small town surrounded by adobe houses and local restaurants, sitting in what's considered the world's driest desert.

San Pedro de Atacama
Very early pickup gets you to El Tatio geysers at 4,320 meters in the Andes before sunrise. You'll watch steam plumes shoot up to 10 meters high, then soak in a natural thermal pool. Later, stop at Machuca village and Flamingo Salt Lake, with chances to see wildlife and giant cacti on the drive back.

This afternoon, head out to Valley of the Moon in the Atacama Desert. The geological formations here are remarkable and unusual looking, and you'll walk through stone shapes, petrified salt, and sand. Check out the Three Marys rock formations and salt caves near Licancabur volcano, then stay for sunset.

San Pedro de Atacama to Bolivia
Your 3-day adventure starts early leaving San Pedro. After completing Chilean migration at customs, cross into Bolivia at Hito Cajon and switch to a 4x4 jeep. You'll explore White Lagoon and Green Lagoon at Licancabur's base, drive through Salvador Dali Desert, visit Polques Hot Spring and geysers, then reach Red Lagoon where thousands of flamingos gather. Sleep at Mallku Villa Mar community hostal at 3,500 meters.

Stop at Colchani to watch how locals extract salt by hand, photograph the Train Cemetery, and arrive in Uyuni by 3:00 PM for your final night at Villa Mar.

San Pedro de Atacama to Salta
Board a bus from San Pedro de Atacama heading to Salta, crossing Paso de Jama, one of the world's highest international borders. The roughly 12-hour journey takes you through Altiplano scenery. After arriving, a shared transfer brings you to your hotel in Salta, a city known for its geographical variety, colonial buildings, and lively local culture.

Salta to Purmamarca
Early pickup begins a two-day excursion following the Train to the Clouds route on zigzagging roads through high desert. You'll pass through Campo Quijano, Quebrada del Toro, and Santa Rosa de Tastil (a pre-Incan city from the 1300s), then head to San Antonio de Los Cobres and Great Salt Flats. The road climbs to Abra de Potrerillos at 4,170 meters before descending to Purmamarca at the base of the 7 Colors Hill.

Purmamarca to Salta
Continue through the UNESCO Heritage Humahuaca Gorge. You'll see Maimaré with colorful Paleta del Pintor slopes, Tilcara with its Pucarà de Tilcara fortress, the Tropic of Capricorn monument, Uquia chapel with its Arcabuceros Angels, and finally Humahuaca town at 2,940 meters with cobbled streets and iron lanterns. The return to Salta happens after enjoying these final views.

The half-day city tour begins in Palermo Soho, then moves to historic Plaza de Mayo with its Casa Rosada, Metropolitan Cathedral, and Cabildo. Walk down Avenida de Mayo toward the Congress building, stop at San Telmo Market and La Boca (where tango started), and check out Caminito Street with local artists. After that, see modern Puerto Madero, Palermo's parks and Zoo, and finish at Recoleta with its historic cemetery. This evening includes dinner paired with a tango show featuring professional dancers, live music, and tradition.

Head out for a full-day Fiesta Gaucha in the countryside near San Antonio de Areco, a historic town from 1730 called the cradle of culture and tradition. Visit the Draghi family silversmith museum showcasing skilled artisans. At El Ombu ranch, start with welcome drinks and empanadas, then have lunch with traditional asado (barbecue) while watching gauchos show off their horse-taming abilities. You'll return to Buenos Aires as evening falls.
