Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo International Airport where a representative meets you after you clear customs and immigration. From there, a private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to your hotel. Once you check in, you'll meet with your guide to go over the itinerary and set up your daily pickup times.



- Day 2
Cairo
After breakfast at your hotel, your private guide takes you out for a full day on the Giza plateau. You'll see the three main pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mecyrinus, and get to enter one of the queens' pyramids. The panorama area gives you great views for photos before you head to the Great Sphinx and the mummification temple. Lunch is authentic Egyptian food, then you spend the afternoon at the Egyptian Museum checking out Tutankhamen's treasures, royal mummies, and artifacts covering 6000 years.

- Day 3
Cairo to Alexandria
You'll have breakfast, then transfer by private coach to Alexandria, which takes about 2.5 hours. Once there, you explore the Roman Catacombs from about 1700 years ago, walk through the Open Air Roman Amphitheater, and see Pompey's Pillar from the 3rd century BC. The 15th century Qaitbay Citadel is next, followed by the newly rebuilt Alexandria Library. By evening you're back in Cairo for the night at your hotel.

- Day 4
Cairo to Luxor
After breakfast at your hotel, you head to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Your guide meets you after arrival and airport formalities. The day covers the Valley of the Kings where your guide picks out the best 3 tombs from the 62 available, showing you colors preserved for 3500 years. Later you see Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, the world's largest temple complex dedicated to god Amun Re, with its obelisks, lakes, and massive pillars. You'll learn about ancient Egyptian language and religion before checking into your Luxor hotel.

- Day 5
Luxor to Aswan
You transfer by private car to Aswan after breakfast, a drive of about 3 hours. First stop is the High Dam, built in 1960 and the Nile's biggest structure, where you see Lake Nasser (the world's largest man-made lake). Next is the Unfinished Obelisk, a single granite piece weighing 1500 tons. A private motorboat takes you to Philae Temple dedicated to goddess Isis, dating back 2300 years to Greek times. After lunch at a quality restaurant, you enjoy a private felucca sailboat ride around Aswan's islands, including Elephantine Island, Kitchener Botanical Island, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum, where you might spot hundreds of migratory birds. You fly back to Cairo in the evening and check into your hotel.
