My son (22) and I spent three weeks in the Middle East. Hares handled our five days in Egypt from start to finish. He was a true professional from the moment I contacted him via the web page. He was a good friend by the time he dropped us off at the airport at the end of our stay. We've traveled extensively and have never had a guide/arranger better than Hares. We highly recommend him and his services.

It was my first time coming to Egypt and I wanted to see all of the major sights and sounds, without having the hassle of planning it all myself. From the get go, Hares looked after me and helped me to tailor my itinerary to my needs (I landed at 1.45am on the first day and needed an extra night at the hotel, and he managed to sort this for me). In fact, to facilitate quicker talks, he contacted my directly via WhatsApp and stayed in contact during my trip, to check up on me and see how I was getting on! In the 6 days, I managed to visit Giza, Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria - all transport was taken care of, from airport pickup, to internal flights, to a first-class train ride from Luxor to Aswan. There are also opportunities to do some optional (with a cost) things e.g. a sunrise hot air balloon ride in Luxor (I thoroughly recommend this! Pickup, the balloon ride, breakfast and return all included in the price - $100). My two tour guides, Essam and Mohammed, were extremely knowledgeable and good company! They managed to impart a ton of knowledge on me, and I feel that I understand all of the locations, far better than I would have been able to just by myself. I can wholeheartedly recommend Hares and Lets Tour Egypt! Don't hesitate, and book today!

In planning a trip to Egypt I was pretty overwhelmed with all the possibilities and the choices I needed to make for this once-in-a-lifetime-experience. In fact I was a bit paralyzed by all the choices until my sister found Hares for me. I was very concerned about getting all I could out of my short trip to Egypt, and in knowing I would be safe - Hares made that all possible!!! He arranged for every aspect of my travel during a seven (7) day, totally customized tour of the main attractions along the Nile River in Egypt including Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel. Finding him was such a gift - he took care of every single detail of my travels and they went perfectly.... from being met by someone at train stations and airports, all transportation to/from everywhere, sightseeing, personal errands, etc.... I felt like a Queen. I didn’t have to know how to navigate through a new culture, as Hares arranged for all details, which gave me the gift of being at peace and therefore able to truly embrace my experience and the amazing culture, much more holistically. As a women traveling alone, this was a true gift. Hares made my trip a success, thanks to his amazing team across the country. I really enjoyed having guides that were both men and women, as well as Christian and Muslim. It enhanced my experience tremendously, and I hope I didn’t offend any of my team by asking so many questions about their culture and their lives. I thank them all for being so willing to share with me. Luxor East and West: Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossus Memnon, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple My time spent in Luxor was amazing. My guide/Egyptologist Nana and my driver Ahmed were outstanding. Nana was so incredibly knowledgeable and personable, she was a true joy to spend time with. She taught me so much, I would have been lost without her. Such a great conversationalist and so well versed in the history. Ahmed took such good care of me as our driver, and made sure I was safe and comfortable during all travels, including my train to Aswan which was 2 1/2 hours late - but I didn’t mind at all because he was so lovely to talk to. Such a kind man. Thank you to Amro, Hares’ manager in Luxor, for arranging Nana and Ahmed, and for being so attentive upon my arrival and departure for Luxor. Needless to say, the sites were mind-blowing, but Nana and Ahmed brought so much more to the experience than I ever anticipated. If I absolutely had to recommend one site over the others I would choose Valley of the Kings, but fortunately I did not have to choose. And we did all of this on ONE day. Aswan & Abu Simbel: Philae Temple, Fulecca boat ride, Nubian Village, Lake Naser and Abu Simbel I traveled from Luxor to Aswan by train, which was very comfortable and safe, and a great way to see some of the country from outside of a car. Aswan was lovely, and once again I had a great guide/Egyptologist, Zeinab, and driver, Bechowy. Thank you to Amr, the manager in Aswan, for arranging them, and for being so supportive of my arrival and departure. Zeinab was so knowledgeable in the history of her amazing country and Bechowy was a really fun driver, who made me laugh a lot. We spent a lot of time together over the two-day tour of Aswan and Abu Simbel and they made in a great trip. Again, if I had to pick one activity I’d recommend Abu Simbel, but fortunately I didn’t have to pick. One piece of information I will share in case others are interested is that there are apparently two Nubian villages you may visit, and the one I went to was very touristy - apparently the other one is much less so. If I could redo my trip I would have chosen the less touristy village, but I didn’t know to ask for that option. Despite being touristy, I had a great time there with Zeinab, who helped me pick out several pounds worth of spices, teas and figs, which I am still enjoying now. We did all or this in TWO days Cairo & Giza: Egyptian museum, the Citadel, Muhamed Ali mosque, Hanging Church, Al Moët Street, Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara and Memphis To close out my trip I flew from Aswan to Cairo, where I was met by my guide/Egyptologist, Bishoy, and our driver whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. Bishoy was outstanding. He taught me so much and was very patient with all my note and picture taking. We had wonderful conversations and he shared so much, not only about Egypt’s history, but about its present day culture. We talked a lot about Coptic and Muslim ways of life, and he shared a lot with me about living in Cairo. I was there on a Friday, which was fortunate as that is the day everyone comes out to shop and sell their goods on the city streets, which was really fascinating to experience. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the touristy picture-taking at the pyramids, the Sphinx and on my short little camel ride near the pyramids ;-). I’m not normally attracted to such activities, and would rather experience more of a culture than do such things but I had a truly wonderful time be goofy and absurd with Bishoy. He made it so fun. Bishoy also did an outstanding job and picking places for us to eat, with a great mix of local cuisine. My favorite meals were with him. We did all of this in TWO days Summary.... All my guides were amazing - very knowledgeable and great at explaining things. I highly recommend all the sites I saw, and would only change one tiny thing, which would be to see a less touristy Nubian village (which I only asked to be added to the tour last minute, so is in no way a reflection on my guides). Hares was amazing - he arranged a perfect vacation with tons of culture and expertise and complete pampering. I felt very safe at every point along my journeys thanks to the crew Hares arranged. I got exactly what I wanted out of the trip thanks to him and his great team throughout the country.
