It is utterly disappointing that the agency canceled our booking despite providing confirmation details and the pick-up point upon purchase. To everyone, please note that this initial confirmation is not the final confirmation you can rely on. As informed, the agency requires an additional round of checks with their farmers before issuing the ‘real’ confirmation. Do not be misled by the initial confirmation, it is not final. Agencies should conduct a tentative check with farmers before sending out any confirmation with pick-up details. By failing to do so, you are giving buyers false hope and providing unprofessional service. Please take note, everyone.

Think that the 10 days adventure tour can be shortened as realistically you can do more than one tour per day. Once we requested and were given a contact person , Mickey at Nordic tours, our experience was vastly improved. Mickey was great. Several items that were listed in the tour were initially not provided but Mickey managed to correct these omissions to our satisfaction. She was extremely helpful. The guides Alberto, Miriam, Etienne, and Stefano were amazing. They went out of their way to make the excursions memorable. The hotel Aakenus, utilized by Nordic Tours was poor. Location was fine but the rooms were never swept, dirty glasses not removed and one day the room was not cleaned at all. When this concern was raised at the front desk, response was “ housekeeping has gone for the day” .

Terrible. They are cab drivers. Late for pick ups. No coats or signs announcing who they are. No. Agenda. Tell you a pick up time , they tell you no hourly plan. Or anything. Spend over 45 minutesgoing to different hotels to pick up different people. You do not need your radar to plan. Do it yourself. Or go on a tour group

Our holiday with Nordic unique travels in Finnish Lapland was excellent! In addition to the wonderful place, the tour guides and the staff at the agency made it a truly remarkable holiday. Although we were quite prepared for the cold, they also offered the full Arctic gear for mostly all activities. All transfers and arrangements went very smoothly and they were always punctual on all occasions. The meals were very nice (where included) and the guides chose the best places that catered for vegetarians (as we were). Massive thanks to Marcelo who is one of the best and most helpful travel agents I've ever come across (having travelled quite a bit!). I feel very lucky to have found him and his company on tour radar! He helped us put together an amazing itinerary and recommended the best accomodation as well as tours that we thoroughly loved. He was always very prompt in replying, very knowledgeable and provided accurate answers to all our questions when we were in the planning stages. He is a true asset to the company and without him we may not have been able to organise our holiday to perfection! Sarka was the best guide we had on our tour (icebreaker). She is a lovely person, extremely friendly and provided exceptional customer service. Really made our trip very special and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time throughout! We were happy to have Malcolm as our guide on the snowmobile tour as he was highly experienced and skilled. Being very new to this activity, we needed extra guidance which he kindly provided and also supported us patiently to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience. His passion and enthusiasm for snowmobiling and Finland was very heartwarming :) Clement was a very pleasant and helpful guide, never rushing us and ensuring we had a beautiful time at one my most favourite places (Ranua zoo). I cannot recommend them highly enough! We would love to visit Lapland again and wouldn't think twice about booking with them :)))

The guides were fantastic! Christian, Alessandra, Thomas, Malcolm, Luis, Alex were incredible. Beautiful country. The trip could have easily been cut in half time wise and we could have done 3 tours in each day.

The whole trip was fantastic and can highly recommend it. We had different guides for our daily activities who were all extremely knowledgeable and genuinely loved what they were doing. Our thanks go to Jordi, Valerii, Louis, Malcolm, Stan, June and Nikko and also our guide in Helsinki who I am sorry to say but can't remember her name. These people are very hardworking, and they treated us like friends. I thank them all for making our trip so special.

We are planning a trip Finland with our primary objective to see the Northern Lights, but also want to balance it with other fun activities as well. What would be the best time of the year to accomplish this?

If the dates are flexible, we would recommend you to visit Lapland in March. The weather usually will be better, as you need more days with clear skies in order to have higher chances to see the Northern Lights. And in March we can still offer you snow activities (and also less crowded compare with December and January)

    • Nordic Unique TravelsOperatorWritten April 2023

We can first make an 7 days package tour offer with 5 nights in Hotel in the city center + 1 night in the snow hotel. But please be reminded that we don't recommend customers with kids to overnight at snowhotel as it will still be cold for some kids (and you will need to use the public toilet and shower room). I would suggest you to stay at glass igloo, and we can add dinner at the ice restaurant instead, so that you can still visit the snowhotel.

      TravelerWritten April 2023

Ok maybe we can fly straight to Rovaniemi. We will be coming from London. Can you customise a package for us similar to the 7-day luxury package. Is "snow hotel" same as "ice hotel"? One night at igloo hotel is good. In terms of duration, 7-10 days would be good. It is important that we get to see Northern Lights, Christmas village and the key highlights.

      TravelerWritten May 2023

Ok understood. This is clearer. There was also (a) a BMW experience driving on ice/snow. Is it possible to add that? (b) ice fishing Whether this can compress into the current 6D or if need be, can make it 7D. Pls let me know soonest as I want to book flights as well.

    • Nordic Unique TravelsOperatorWritten May 2023

      (a) For next winter season, we are not cooperateing with the supplier with the ice driving experience. The experience isn't suitable for family. Only adults can book the tour and the program itslef (for minimum 2 people) is costly as well. (b) We can combine snowmobile experience with ice fishing on D3.

    • Nordic Unique TravelsOperatorWritten November 2022

The package tour consists of different day tours. Group size could differ everyday. Some tours like Hunting Aurora with BBQ will operate with a bus if many customers are on same departure, with maximum group size of 80. All guides can speak English at least. We usually operate tours with small van (8 people per vehicle). Almost all hotels are fully-booked already, and you might need to change between different hotels during travel.

We have welcomed many seniors with this package, and it will be fine. However, of course the physical conditions are different from person to person. We can maybe replace snowmobile event to another to fit your preference more. We can note that you prefer a Spanish guide and try to arrange for you, but please note that it's not guaranteed. For departing on 1 Apr, 2023 with 2pax, the price will be 2559EUR per person.
