Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca to Fes via Rabat and Meknes
This morning you'll leave Casablanca and stop to see key sites around the city before moving on to Rabat for a bit. From there, you'll head inland toward Meknes for lunch around midday. After eating, the drive continues east to Fes where you'll check into a traditional hotel for the night. Breakfast is included with your room, so you can take your time getting settled in.

Fes
You're spending the full day in Fes, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has been Morocco's spiritual heart for centuries. The day takes you through several distinct areas, starting with the Jewish Mellah, then on to the Tannery where leather workers use traditional methods that go back generations. After that, you'll check out the Weavers Cooperative and the ancient University of Kairouine, one of the oldest universities in the world. By afternoon, you'll walk through Nejarine Square where there's a wood museum and you can see the carpenter's souk with craftspeople at work.

Fes to Merzouga Desert
You'll start at 8 a.m. heading toward Erg Chebbi Desert, driving through the Ziz Valley and passing through the Ziz Gorges. The route goes by Midelt and Errachidia, and you'll stop to see the Barrage de Hassan Addakhil dam that was finished in 1971. Once you reach Merzouga by late afternoon, you'll get on a camel for a 40-minute ride out into the dunes timed for sunset. After that comes dinner with mint tea served in a nomadic Berber tent, where you'll spend the night under the stars.

Merzouga to Dades Valley
Morning starts back at the desert camp with breakfast and a chance to shower before heading out. You'll drive to Rissani and see the ruins of Sijilmassa, which was once a major Berber trading center from back in 757. Lunch happens in Todra Gorges, then the drive takes you through small villages heading toward Dades Valley. You should arrive around 6 p.m. for dinner and an overnight stay at a local hotel in the area.

Dades Valley to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou
After an 8 a.m. departure, you'll take a short walk through the Gorges before driving toward Ouarzazate. The route goes through Dades Valley and past Kalaat M'Gouna, known as the center of Morocco's rose-essence production. Lunch stops at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that's shown up in films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. From there, you'll drive over the Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your tour ends and you'll say goodbye to the tour service.
