The route takes you through Mojave National Preserve where you'll stop at the historic Kelso Depot and see your first Joshua trees scattered across the landscape. By midday you'll arrive in Twentynine Palms and meet your group at the Oasis Visitor Center before heading to Sheep Pass Campground. After settling in and having lunch, you'll tackle Ryan Mountain with a 5-mile hike that gains 1,200 feet and rewards you with 360-degree views across the park.
