Quito
You'll arrive in Quito whenever works for your flight, then meet up with your G Adventures guide for an orientation session to go over how the tour operates. If you're interested in exploring the city before heading to the islands, there's an optional Quito City Tour and Equator Line activity you can arrange ahead of time.

Landmarks Equator Line - Day 2
Quito to Galápagos Islands
An early morning flight from Quito gets you to the Galápagos Islands, where you'll transfer to Puerto Ayora and board the Eden yacht. Later in the afternoon, head to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island to check out giant tortoises in their natural habitat. The highland area sits at higher elevation, so the landscape feels quite different from the coastal regions you'll explore later.

- Day 3
Galapagos Islands
The morning involves traveling to Puerto Villamil, a small coastal town, then hiking up to the rim of Sierra Negra volcano where the views open up across the landscape. After lunch, you'll head out to explore the wetlands and visit the tortoise breeding centre located in the Puerto Villamil area. Everything food-wise is included.

Galapagos Islands
You'll make your way to Punta Moreno on Isabela's southwest coast to see interesting lava formations, spot flamingos, and get views of three active volcanoes in the distance. Bring your snorkel for this one. The afternoon takes you by panga boat to Elizabeth Bay where you can watch birds and marine creatures while moving through the shallow waters and mangroves, looking out for sea turtles and penguins. Meals are all provided.

Landmarks Punta Moreno Elizabeth Bay Isabela Island - Day 5
Galapagos Islands
Start at Tagus Cove with a hike up to a viewpoint that looks out over the bay, and you'll see old graffiti carved into rocks by whalers and pirates from centuries past. Later, you head to Punta Espinoza on Fernandina Island, which is the newest island in the Galapagos, where snorkeling brings you face to face with a large colony of marine iguanas plus various bird species. All meals are covered.

Galapagos Islands
Morning time at Puerto Egas has you walking along dark sand beaches with interesting rock formations and tide pools to explore. You'll get a chance to swim and snorkel in the protected bay, searching through the water for fish and sea turtles. Later in the day, you travel to Rábida Island to see a saltwater lagoon and sea lion colony. Meals are included throughout.

Galapagos Islands to Quito
North Seymour is your morning stop, where guided walks let you observe birds and wildlife along with large sea lion colonies spread across the island. After that, you disembark at Baltra and fly back to Quito. Breakfast is provided, though G Adventures suggests not booking your departure flight for this day since local flight delays can sometimes happen.

Quito
