Itinerary
- Day 1
Kochi
You'll arrive at Kochi airport and get picked up for transfer to your hotel. Once you're settled, spend the day walking around Fort Kochi to see the Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, and the Indo-Portuguese Museum. From there, head to Marine Drive for some time by the water. By evening, you'll catch a traditional Kathakali dance performance with all the intricate costumes and makeup that makes it so distinctive.

Kochi to Kumarakom
After breakfast you'll check out and drive to Kumarakom, called the 'Town of Backwaters'. Check in at your hotel and then head to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary to look for migratory birds. During the afternoon, you can relax around the backwaters, take a stroll if you feel like it, or get a traditional Ayurvedic massage at one of the local spas. The rest of your day is open for whatever you prefer.

You'll have breakfast and check out before driving to Alleppey to start your houseboat journey through the backwaters. Once you're on board your houseboat, you'll have lunch and dinner while cruising through the scenic lagoons. Later in the evening, take a walk around Alleppey's local streets to get a feel for the town.

Once you check in at your Kovalam hotel, the rest of the day is yours to rest and settle in.

Kovalam to Kanyakumari
After breakfast, you'll take a day trip to Kanyakumari with a stop at the historic Padmanabhapuram Palace on the way. Once there, see the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari Mandir (one of the fifty-two Shakti Peethas), the Tri Samudra Milan confluence where three seas meet, Mahatma Gandhi Mandapam, and Sthanumalayan Temple. You'll head back to Kovalam later in the evening.
