Itinerary
- Day 1
Batumi
You'll arrive in Batumi whenever works for your flight. Your room likely won't be ready until after 2pm, so if you land early, head down to the waterfront Promenade and walk around on your own. The area has plenty of cafes and restaurants to grab food or coffee while you wait. Airport transfer can be arranged if you need it.

Batumi to Becho
After breakfast you'll meet the group for a welcome meeting, then head north along the Black Sea coast. From there the drive goes inland through dramatic mountain scenery toward the Caucasus. It takes about five hours to reach Becho in Svaneti, where you'll see medieval villages with those distinctive stone towers and mountain views all around.

Becho to Mestia
A short drive takes you to Mazeri where the hiking starts. You'll trek along the Dolra River through forests, passing Ushba waterfall, then climb up to the waterfall at Mount Ushba's base. Lunch is a picnic during the walk. Later in the afternoon you'll drive to Mestia for a two-night stay, with time to visit traditional Svantian homes and local museums if interested.

Mestia
Four-wheel drive vehicles take you to Jvari at 2,150 metres, then you hike out to the mountain lakes of Koruldi. The views include snow-covered glaciers and peaks like Mounts Tetnuldi, Laila and Chatini. After returning from the hike you'll head back to Mestia for your second night there.

Mestia to Ushguli
Four-wheel drive takes you to Ushguli, a settlement of four hamlets with medieval watchtowers in a steep valley. You'll spend the afternoon hiking up Mount Guro, which has a steep climb and views of Georgia's highest peaks and wildflower-covered slopes. Staying overnight in Ushguli after you return.

Ushguli
You'll hike along the Enereti River toward Mount Shkhara's glacier on a mostly flat trail with big mountain views the whole way. Walking through valleys with wildflowers, you'll reach the rocky glacier terminus then head back the same route to Ushguli where you'll spend the night.

Ushguli to Mestia
Four-wheel drive takes you to Mulakhi where your luggage heads on ahead. From there you'll hike back to Mestia on foot, walking through settlements and valleys with mountain views around you. A picnic lunch is set up somewhere along the route so you can eat with the scenery.

Mestia to Batumi
The drive back to Batumi goes through Zugdidi, leaving the mountains behind. Once there you'll have time to check out the seafront or walk around and see the city's mix of architecture like 19th-century Russian houses, Soviet-era buildings, and modern structures all mixed together.

Batumi
You'll depart whenever your flight is scheduled. The hotel can store your luggage if you need it for the day before heading to the airport. Airport transfer is available if you want it arranged for your onward travel.
