It was better than I expected - Indonesia is a surprisingly interesting country - lots of variety, volcanoes, temples, nature, relaxing, handicrafts, local art - fabulous!

The tour leader arranged a visit to the "painted village" in Malang, which was definitely a highlight. The trip notes could be a little more detailed about the effort level involved in the volcano visits (i.e. not very much in the case of the Mount Bromo sunrise trip!) as that was one thing I was unsure about beforehand.
