Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive in Athens whenever works for you. Your tour leader will be waiting at the hotel reception at 7pm if you get there on time. After that, there's an optional dinner out if you feel like it, but nothing's scheduled. The evening is yours to wander around, hit up some local cafes, or try a taverna if you're hungry.

- Day 2
Athens
Start with a welcome meeting and then do an orientation walk that takes you past Parliament, through Syntagma Square, and into the historic Plaka neighborhood. Later this morning, you'll have a guided tour of the Acropolis where you'll see the Propylaea, Parthenon, Temple of Athena Nike, and Erechtheion up close.

Athens to Nafplion
After an early breakfast, you're heading to Nafplion with a stop at Epidavros along the way. There you'll walk through the ancient sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius and check out the remarkably preserved ancient Greek theatre, which has incredible acoustics. From there, the bus continues to Nafplion where you'll have an evening promenade and dinner at a harbourfront restaurant.

Nafplion
This morning involves climbing up to Palamidi Fortress to take in the views (that's 850 steps to an 18th-century Venetian fortress, though taxis are available if you'd rather skip the climb). After you head back to Nafplion, the afternoon is free to explore on your own. There's a recommended coastal walk to Arvanitia Beach and Karathona if you're up for it.

Nafplion to Gythio
You'll travel north to the mighty ruins of ancient Mycenae, a site connected to King Agamemnon and the Trojan War. Walk through and explore the Lion Gate, Royal Tombs, Treasury of Atreus, and beehive tombs. Later, you'll head south toward Gythio in the Mani Peninsula.

Gythio
Gythio is a charming coastal village with history going back to ancient times when it was Sparta's main port. The afternoon is free, so you can check out the waterfront with its neoclassical buildings, visit historical sites like Tzanetakis Tower, or head out to the island of Marathonski. There's an optional trip available to nearby Monemvasia if that interests you.

Mani Peninsula
You're exploring the naturally isolated Mani Peninsula with its wild landscape and unique tower houses from the 14th century. A chartered bus tour takes you to Cape Tenaro (the southernmost point of mainland Greece), Girolimenas, and Vathia fortified village.

Mani Peninsula to Pylos
You'll head north to Mystras, an abandoned medieval town perched high on the Taygetos range. Wander through cobbled alleyways and explore ruins of palaces and houses, plus the Pantanassa Church with its frescoes and the Frankish Castle which offers views over the Sparta plain. Later, you'll continue to Pylos, a charming harbour town.

Pylos
Spend your time in Pylos, a picturesque town surrounded by olive trees and offshore islands. You'll visit the well-preserved Neokastro castle built in 1573 during Turkish occupation. The afternoon is optional, with choices including a local bus trip to Methoni and its 15th-century Venetian castle, or time at Gialova Lagoon, a medieval castle, Nestor's Cave, and a white-sand beach.

Pylos to Olympia
You're driving north with a brief stop at the Vaulted Tomb of Ano Anglianos, one of the largest burial tombs in the area from the 15th century. Then you'll continue to ancient Olympia in a valley setting. A guided tour takes you through the gymnasium, wrestling school, stadium, Temple of Zeus, and other sites.

Olympia to Delphi
You'll travel north through Greece's largest olive grove to reach Delphi. The drive is scenic, heading toward the rocky slopes of sacred Mount Parnassos. A guided tour covers the ancient site where Apollo spoke through the priestess Pythia, including the Temple of Apollo, theatre, stadium, Marmaria Sanctuary, and the famous charioteer in the museum.

Delphi to Athens
There's an optional morning walk to the Temple of Athena if you want to stretch before boarding the bus back to Athens. You'll stop in Arachova, a pretty mountain village, for photos. The afternoon is free once you're back in Athens, so you can explore or relax at one of the many cafes around the city.

Athens
Your tour ends after breakfast at the hotel. Nothing's scheduled for the day, so you're free to depart whenever you need to. If your flight leaves later, the hotel has luggage storage available for you.
