- Aziz· November 30th, 2018Wit was exceptionally friendly and caring. He seemed to have every small detail nailed. Always punctual, polite and knew how to deal on a one on one basis. - SSSarah· November 30th, 2018This tour was a wonderful opportunity to have experiences of the country and people of Thailand Laos and Cambodia. I loved the amount of time spent on the water and in the countryside. Our guide, Wit, provided amazing perspective given his background as a Buddhist monk, his interest in advancing socially just causes, and his incredible positive energy. The “local guides “ were more uneven in terms of their capacity to communicate with clarity, though the guide in Phnom Penh provided an amazing personal story of her family’s experience of the Khmer Rouge. The accommodations were always adequate but sometimes located further from the center of town than would have been convenient to allow easy access during our free time. I loved that our group ended up being only six people because it allowed us to bond and rely on each other for support when needed.Show moreExplore! commented on this reviewthanks for the great feedback, especially your comments on Wit who is one of our superstar leaders!Trip date: November 2018

Asked on June 21st, 2023Would you have estimates about the price for 2 people? Also, I would like to know the conditions of this train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.
- Explore!Operator•Written June 2023
Unfortunately we have stopped operating this trip. We do however have a similar trip - Best of Northern Thailand and this also uses a train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. On the train we travel in 2nd A/c sleeper, where the seats convert into a bunk bed configuration one above the other, with a privacy curtain to pull across the entire bed to separate you from the cabin. Toilets are western in style and are at either end of the carriage.

Asked on September 7th, 2022can you please tell me if there are any covid related restrictions for this holiday to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia? Will we need any extra tests for travelling between these countries? what/how many covid vaccinations do we need to have had before travel and how long before travel must we have had them?
- Explore!Operator•Written September 2022
We would recommend that you check the FCDO for all COVID-19 entry requirements for these countries as the requirements can change.

Asked on June 17th, 2022Do this tour sightsee around the city of Chiang Rai? Do all the hotels on this tour have air conditioning?

Traveler•Written June 2022I can't find an answer to my question. I don't see any sightseeing in Chiang Rai. Is there any? It looks like we get there at night. Do we get to see the White Temple? Do all hotels have A/C?
- Explore!Operator•Written June 2022
We do stay in Chiang Rai on the 4th night but there isn't an included visit to the white temple. The temple is about 20 minutes drive from the hotel so if you wished to visit you can do so as we have the evening free to explore the night market or for your own choice. The hotels either have air condition or fans.
