I did the Everest Base Camp, Threes Passes Trek. Since I was traveling solo my guide was able to change route to a more flexible and interesting trek. I came here to see the great mountains but the villages, monasteries and people were just as magnificent as the high peaks. We had some very challenging weather and without my guides expertise and loyalty I would have been in some serious trouble. The tea houses were welcome at the end of the day with their stoves and foods. The nights are cold but bringing a warm sleeping bag makes it good. The weather is the weather and can’t be changed, the company knows this and truly does everything in their power to make the trip a successful and memorable one. Mine was!! Shout out to my guide Bishnu, he said his name means god, and he was mine.
