Arrival in Riga
You'll arrive in Riga and head to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, there's a welcome meeting to get oriented with your group and tour leader. If you want to ease into the trip over a meal, there's an optional welcome dinner available at the hotel.

- Day 2
Riga Old Town
This morning you'll walk through Riga's Old Town on a guided tour, stopping at major sites like Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, and the Freedom Monument. You'll see how different architectural periods layer throughout the city. In the afternoon, you can head to the Art Nouveau district if you're interested, then later there's an option to try contemporary Latvian cuisine for dinner.

Kalnciema Quarter and Local Arts & Crafts
You'll start by checking out Kalnciema Quarter on the left bank of the Daugava River, where renovated wooden buildings house art galleries, local shops, and a farmers market (runs on Saturdays). After that, you'll explore the arts and crafts traditions in the Old Town, learning about amber work and knitted fabrics. Later in the day, you can visit the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design or catch a ballet or opera performance if that appeals to you.
