Itinerary
- Day 1
Paro to Thimphu
Your flight into Paro takes you over the Himalayas, and once you clear customs, you'll start exploring right away. Paro Dzong fortress gives you a sense of Bhutanese architecture and history, then head to Ta Dzong where the National Museum is housed across multiple floors. From there, make your way to Tacho Lhakhang temple for some quiet time, and then check out Chuzom where the two rivers meet, marked by three distinctive Chortens. Later, drive to Thimphu and take an evening walk through the streets to get a feel for the capital's pace and atmosphere.

- Day 2
Thimphu
Start with the massive Buddha Dordenma statue, which sits high up and offers views across the valley. Then head to Simply Bhutan where you can try traditional activities like archery if you want. The hilltop Changangkha Lhakhang temple comes next, followed by the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan's national animal up close. After lunch, walk through Zorig Chusum Institute to see traditional arts being created, spend time at the Royal Textile Academy learning about textile traditions, and check out the National Library. Finish by wandering through Chubachu Vegetable Market with its colorful stalls and local vendors.

- Day 3
Paro
This day involves a solid hike starting early in the morning, heading through pine forests toward Taktshang Monastery. The trek takes about 3 to 4 hours, climbing through the forest until you reach the monastery perched 900 meters above the valley. Grab refreshments at the monastery cafeteria before heading back down. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum in Ta Dzong watchtower and walk through its seven floors of exhibits. From there, go to Rinpung Dzong to see the administrative hub, cross the traditional wooden bridge, and end with an evening stroll around Paro.
