Hoover Dam
Start your day at Hoover Dam, where you'll check out the engineering behind this 1936 structure that controls 112 miles of the Colorado River and created Lake Mead. The tour covers the dam's history and includes stories about the Native American high scalers who worked on the canyon walls during construction. Grab lunch at the Visitors Center, then you have options to shuttle or bike back to Hilton Lake Las Vegas to settle in for the night.

Valley of Fire
This morning, head out via van shuttle to Valley of Fire Highway, Nevada's oldest and largest state park. You'll bike through red-gold Aztec sandstone formations with 3,000-year-old Anasazi petroglyphs scattered throughout, along with ancient trees and desert cacti. Keep your eyes open for desert bighorn sheep, and if you're visiting in spring, wildflowers will be in full bloom. After that, return to Hilton Lake Las Vegas for another night.

Death Valley National Park
Transfer to Death Valley National Park and start biking from the ghost town of Rhyolite toward Daylight Pass at 4,317 feet elevation. You'll tackle a 26-mile downhill descent with panoramic views of Death Valley spread out around you. Check in at the Ranch at Death Valley where you'll stay for the next three nights and have access to the pool.

Golden Canyon and Dante's View

After that, shuttle over to Dante's View at 5,500 feet for views looking down at Badwater Basin and the entire Death Valley landscape. Spend your afternoon at the Oasis relaxing or checking out nearby spots. Dinner's on your own tonight.

Ubehebe Crater and Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes
Shuttle to Ubehebe Crater this morning for a 1.5-mile hike around the 600-foot-deep rim, created long ago by a steam and gas explosion. From there, bike downhill to Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, the location used for planet Tatooine in the original Star Wars film. Lunch is on your own today, so grab a bite whenever works for you.

Badwater Basin and Return to Las Vegas
Head to Badwater Basin, the lowest point on the continent at 282 feet below sea level, then check out Artist's Palette to see rocks colored in rainbow hues from metal oxidation. You'll walk the salt flats and can bike back to the Oasis. Enjoy a celebratory lunch, take a shower, and prepare for your drive back to Las Vegas.
