Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Jagat
You'll drive out from Kathmandu toward Jagat, a small settlement sitting at 1,330m. The route takes you past large rivers and winding roads where you'll see local shops, markets, and small hydropower dams scattered along the way. By evening you'll settle into a traditional guesthouse for the night.

 - Day 2
Trek to Dharapani
Your first trekking day starts now. The trail winds through villages including Chamje, Tal, and Karte as you make your way to Dharapani. Along the path you'll come across waterfalls, and the walk gives you a real sense of the local landscape. You'll sleep at a teahouse in Dharapani.

 - Day 3
Dharapani to Chame
From Dharapani you trek toward Chame on a gentle climb. Chame itself sits with connections to the old Nepal-Tibet trade route and has distinctive Tibetan customs and architecture. The village gives you views of Mt. Annapurna II, and there are hot springs nearby to explore. A teahouse is your stop for the night.

Chame to Upper Pisang
You walk through dense forest on a nice path, then encounter a dramatic curved rock face that rises 1,500 meters straight up from the river. The trail gets carved into this vertical rock, which is the challenging part. After this section the valley opens up with big vistas around you. You'll continue on to Upper Pisang and stay at a teahouse.

 - Day 5
Pisang to Ngawal
The trek follows a high trail through pine groves with the turquoise Mring Tso lake in view. You continue climbing through Ghyaru village and past barley and buckwheat fields to reach Ngawal, one of the nicest villages in the region. The day's planned for acclimatizing, and you can check out the centuries-old Guru Rinpoche cave. Sleep at a teahouse.

Ngawal to Manang
Just a few hours of walking takes you from Ngawal down to Manang, the main hub of the circuit trek. The trail passes through dense forests and several monasteries with artistic details. Manang has Gangapurna Lake nearby, and you should check out the monasteries and visit the local cinema hall in the evening. You'll stay at a teahouse.

Manang to Yak Kharka
Leaving Manang you trek toward Yak Kharka, climbing about 500 meters. You'll pass through Tenki Manang and the Jarsang Khola Valley, gradually moving away from the Marsyangdi Valley. As trees get sparser you'll start seeing herds of yaks. You'll arrive by lunch with time to look around, and there's an optional hike to Chulu West Base Camp. The teahouse sits at 4,000m altitude.

Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi
Today's an uphill trek to Thorang Phedi with a suspension bridge to cross. You'll pass through Ledar village and ascend through tall cliffs to reach Thorang Phedi, the last settlement before the Thorong La pass. The views take in Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mt. Khatungkan. A teahouse waits for the night.

Thorang La Pass to Muktinath
This is the toughest day as you cross Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, one of the highest passes around. You'll start before dawn because weather turns bad later in the day, and this crossing demands real effort and determination. By evening you reach Muktinath, a sacred Hindu site at 3,710m. A teahouse provides lodging.

Muktinath to Tatopani
Time to rest from trekking, but you'll take a jeep ride to Tatopani, which means 'hot water' in Nepali. The drive takes you through well-known villages like Jomsom, Marpha, and Ghasa. Once there you can soak in the natural hot springs to relax and recharge. You'll stay at a teahouse.

Tatopani to Ghorepani
A challenging uphill push to Ghorepani takes about 6 to 7 hours, and it's a long, strenuous hike. But you'll make it to Ghorepani for the night at a teahouse.

Ghorepani to Tadapani
You trek through a vibrant rhododendron forest on this stretch. Start early to catch the sunrise from Poon Hill, then continue on to Tadapani village. A teahouse is where you'll sleep.

Tadapani to Ghandruk to Pokhara
Your final trekking day begins after breakfast in Tadapani with great views all around. From here you trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village about 3 to 4 hours away. After that it's a drive to Pokhara, and the trek is done.
