- SFSusan· May 30th, 2025We have just completed the Lifetime Experience Tour. We had seven full days exploring some of the highlights of Sri Lanka. We enjoyed every minute of this well constructed itinerary and were particularly impressed by a number of sites we visited, such as the Yala Natinal Park. All the accommodation met expectations and due to it being low season there were few other guests at most of the hotels. Also to be noted, is that the monsoon season did not impact our enjoyment of the trip and we experienced some days without rain. Our guide Udara was exemplary with his punctuality and clear commitment to making it a pleasant and trouble free tour for us. One example was the safari jeep driver for Yala whom Udara had arranged directly. The jeep driver took us through the second entrance to the park which has less jeeps queued. He was an astounding driver and spotter of wildlife, enabling us to see four leopards! We have no hesitation in recommending Udara as a guide and driver.Show moreTrip date: May 2025

Before that we have one week to explore Sri Lanka. We have already booked the flight to Colombo, arriving Monday August 25, 2025 at 08.35 am. Places we would like to visit: Kandy, Ella, Train ride from Kandy to Ella, Tea plantations, Polonnaruwa, Hikes. We are open to further suggestions. Ideally we would like to combine a route from Colombo to Trincomalee directly with sightseeing during the week, so that we don't have to drive/fly back to Colombo.
