Something to point out the first days travel started with breakfast at 7 am and no proper meal until 3pm this is to long a gap. The train ride was great but was 2 hrs late, in itself not a problem but arrived at hotel 9pm and up for safari 4.30 am. Hotel standards were good . We were expecting to be in a group, so if you are a solo traveller, you may end up on your own. Will we each get a transfer included if our flights are at different times? Or is it close to the airport or a train station? And could we book an extra night at the resort if one of us needed to leave a day later?

Before that we have one week to explore Sri Lanka. We have already booked the flight to Colombo, arriving Monday August 25, 2025 at 08.35 am. Places we would like to visit: Kandy, Ella, Train ride from Kandy to Ella, Tea plantations, Polonnaruwa, Hikes. We are open to further suggestions. Ideally we would like to combine a route from Colombo to Trincomalee directly with sightseeing during the week, so that we don't have to drive/fly back to Colombo.
