- Day 1
Lima
You'll get picked up at Jorge Chávez International Airport and driven to your hotel in Miraflores. After you check in, the afternoon and evening are open for resting or wandering around this lively neighborhood. Then at 6 pm, there's a briefing on what's ahead for your 15-day Peru trip.

Lima
Today you're exploring central Lima from start to finish. Head through Plaza Mayor, the Archbishop's Palace, and Palace of the Government, then check out Lima Cathedral. The San Francisco Monastery is next, with its detailed carvings and well-known library worth seeing. Before heading back to your hotel, stop by the ancient Huaca Pucllana pyramid. The afternoon is yours to do what you want nearby.

Lima to Iquitos
You'll fly from Lima to Iquitos, gateway to the Peruvian Amazon. After landing, staff takes you by boat upriver to Treehouse Lodge deep in the jungle. Following lunch and a siesta, you'll walk forest trails with a naturalist guide through moss-covered ground surrounded by orchids and ferns, getting a real feel for the Amazon's natural diversity.

Amazon Jungle (Iquitos)
After breakfast you head out on a fishing trip hoping to catch piranhas while soaking in the jungle atmosphere. If luck is on your side, you might see the pink and gray dolphins this region is known for. Later, visit the Yagua Indian village to see how they live with the forest. You'll watch blowgun demonstrations and look at handmade items before getting back to the lodge by boat.

Amazon Jungle (Iquitos)
Following breakfast, board a boat heading to Mazan on the Napo River shore. This town started as a mission and now has a school, market, and hospital. You'll meet local people, learn about their ways of life, and spend time with local kids. Those skipping optional activities can do things closer to the lodge instead.

Iquitos to Lima
Start with a full breakfast before taking a private boat to Fundo Neisser, a nature reserve that protects five primate species along with anacondas, tortoises, coatis, and parrots. Lunch happens in the tropical setting, then you'll take part in a farewell ceremony with your team. After that, head back to Iquitos, catch your flight to Lima, and settle in at your hotel.

Lima to Sacred Valley
You'll have breakfast then drive to Lima airport for your flight to Cusco, the ancient Incan capital. Your team meets you and takes you to the Sacred Valley. Stop in Chincheros for lunch and watch alpaca textiles being made by hand using wool colored with native plants, insects, and minerals. Tour the Chincheros Temple Complex to see the stonework, check out textile shops, and maybe connect with local families. Later settle into the Sacred Valley for rest and dinner with Andean music.

Sacred Valley
This day is yours to explore the Sacred Valley however you like. Sleep as late as you want and have breakfast on your schedule. Either relax at your hotel or take the short drive to visit Ollantaytambo Fortress, which sits nearby and is well worth seeing.

Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
One of the trip's highlights starts after breakfast when you head to Ollantaytambo train station for the Vistadome train ride along the Vilcanota River toward Machu Picchu. You'll pass old villages, sacred mountains, and local wildlife along the way. Upon arriving at Machu Picchu Pueblo, take a guided 3-hour tour covering the Temple of the Sun, Temple of the High Priest, Sacred Plaza, and the Intihuatana stone from the 15th century. After exploring, grab lunch in Aguas Calientes, then ride the train back and take a bus to Cusco for the evening.

Cusco
Your time in Cusco is completely free to shape however you want. The ancient Incan capital gives you lots of choices, from walking tours to river rafting on the Vilcanota River. Walk through the UNESCO historic city with Incan ruins scattered throughout and Spanish colonial buildings mixed in everywhere. Spend time looking at galleries filled with handmade textiles and local crafts.

- Day 11
Cusco to Puno
You're traveling through the Andes today toward the Altiplano, following the Route of the Sun. Start at the chapel in Andahuaylillas, which has murals and paintings that look similar to the Sistine Chapel with golden foil details. Then head to the Temple of Wiracocha at Raqchi, an impressive 92-meter Incan structure. After lunch in Sicuani, continue to La Raya at 4,335 meters (14,222 feet), the trip's highest point, and check out the pre-Incan Museum at Pukara. You'll arrive in Puno around 5 pm to rest at your hotel.

Lake Titicaca (Puno)
Spend your day on Lake Titicaca by boat, visiting the Floating Islands of the Uros and Taquile Island. See how locals build these islands from tortora reeds and make boats that can last six months if they're well-maintained. Have lunch right on the Floating Islands, then travel to Taquile to check out their famous handmade weavings and ceramics.

After breakfast, you have some time to see Puno before heading to Inca Manco Cápac Airport in Juliaca for your flight. You'll fly over the Andes and Pacific Ocean back to Lima, where your team picks you up and drives to your Miraflores hotel. This is your last full day in Peru, so celebrate with some of Lima's best food and a Pisco Sour to cap it off.
