Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens to Olympia
Leave Athens early heading south on the coastal highway, stopping briefly at the Corinth Canal to see the narrow waterway cutting through rock. From there, continue to Epidaurus where you'll walk through the Ancient Theatre, which has remarkable acoustics that let sound carry perfectly from the stage. Next, head to Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and you'll see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion's Gate entrance, Royal Tombs, and the Treasury of Atreus. After exploring the ruins, drive through Tripolis and Megalopolis toward Olympia.
