- Lauren· August 10th, 2025Overall, my tour of Sri Lanka was a wonderful. There was beautiful scenery, amazing history, and a knowledgeable driver/guide. However, a few details did not match the itinerary provided. I was expecting a 2nd class train ticket but received a 3rd class ticket on the slow train, which made the 5+ hour journey to Ella very crowded and uncomfortable. In addition, we did not stop at Hanuman Hindu Temple, which had been listed as part of the tour. While I still enjoyed much of the trip (particularly Sigirya Rock and Dambulla Cave Temple), I would suggest confirming ticket classes and all planned stops in advance to ensure traveler expectations are met.Show more

Traveler•Written March 2024the price for December was 501 Euros. But, when I went on for booking I had seen that this was the price for a 3 bed room. Since we are a couple we would need a double room and this would cost 634 Euros where I was dissapointed, because I planed with the 501 Euro price.
